My friend and I had the BEST experience at SUR for our girl’s day in LA. We made a reservation at the bar to enjoy happy hour with discounted bevs and lite bites. I ordered the Night in Paris gin/elderflower/basil drink and absolutely loved it. Our bartender, McKenna, was SO sweet, skilled at her craft, and made sure we had an awesome experience. We also got to try the fried goat cheese balls which I can confirm are worth the hype – melt in your mouth magnificence. Can’t wait to come back to try more of the menu! Thanks so much SUR staff 🙂

SUR has been on my list forever, and as someone who absolutely loves Lisa Vanderpump’s restaurants — I’ve been to almost all of them — I was so excited to finally try SUR for brunch. The moment we walked in, the experience felt magical. The interior design is, as always, stunning: beautiful décor, amazing atmosphere, and that perfect balance of being both interesting and cozy at the same time.
We ordered cheese balls, the steak that comes with potatoes, and a couple of cocktails. For brunch, appetizers, a main course, and drinks, our bill came out to a little over $100 — which is absolutely fine, considering the usual quality at Vanderpump restaurants.
I got my favorite Espresso Martini — a drink I’ve tried hundreds of times in general and at Vanderpump restaurants at least five times — but this time it was extremely strong, almost like straight vodka. It was the first time in my life I didn’t enjoy it.
However, the staff handled it perfectly. Without any hesitation or questions, they immediately offered to replace the drink and brought me another cocktail, which was delicious. Truly excellent service — the team was kind, warm, attentive, and very pleasant to interact with.
When the steak arrived, the flavor was unfortunately much spicier than expected. The sauce and the potatoes had too many pieces of hot pepper, making the dish overwhelmingly spicy. I’ll attach a photo — we really tried, but it was difficult to enjoy it the way we did at Tom Tom, which is also one of Lisa’s restaurants.
Still, I genuinely believe things like this can happen to any restaurant, and overall the experience was lovely. We will definitely come back — adding an updated review with photos.

The place is gorgeous & very well decorated! Such a chill/mysterious vibe that is great for happy hour or a low key & comfortable evening with friends & family. Our server was nice but it did take about 10-15 mins to even be acknowledged by any of the bartenders, they’d walk by and ignore us although we were sitting directly in view- right across from the kitchen door. But after being greeted our male server was super sweet & helpful. The host was awesome too & dressed immaculately. We met Guillermo who was SO pleasant. He made our evening. Food was underwhelming but the atmosphere makes up for it. The guests I went with said their drinks were okay, but mine was delicious!

I had the truffle gnocchi with a cocktail (summer garden I think?), and it was delicious! Atmosphere was absolutely gorgeous. It surpassed my expectations in all aspects and I was blown away. The staff were also all very friendly, and more than happy to pose for photos and chat with all the guests. I came for the name but stayed and would definitely return for the food and drink. We went to SUR for my wife’s 40th birthday as she’s a big Vanderpump Rules fan, and it did not disappoint! The atmosphere was amazing, the food and cocktails were fantastic, and the whole vibe was exactly what we hoped for. My wife even got to meet the owner, who was friendly and welcoming, and we bumped into some of the new cast members too. An excellent experience all around – highly recommend!

My sister and I were just there on Wednesday for a little birthday dinner. The food was so out of this world! I had the Bluefin Tuna Tartare, she had the Shrimp Couscous, and together we shared the freshly baked pita bread with trio dip – hummus, ricotta, and an unbelievable beet and lentil dip! When I tell you every single bite was so amazing, it was! Holy cow!

Vanderpump dreams were made true here! Guillermo greeted us and made us feel at home! He gave us a tour of the restraint & made us delicious frozen espresso shots! Cocktails are good. But my friends weren’t happy with the mocktails. The prices for cocktails are about $22. The food is okay.
The bartenders, waiters, and owner are nice and friendly.
Sur is definitely the place to go with friends before the club. And it is the place for a beautiful experience and insta content.

Aww what a bummer! My husband booked here for Valentine’s Day and it was a complete miss. From the start, we were sat about 20 minutes after our reservation time. We got drinks at the bar in the meantime. The Gitana drink was stellar and the bartender was sweet (Natalie).
When we went to finally be sat, our table wasn’t ready, and we were shuffled back up to the front. When we were sat, my husband had a dirty fork on his chair.
That night they were serving a pre fixe menu, which you’d think would make things run smoother. We ordered the goat cheese balls as well which never came, and did get removed from our check. There were large gaps between the courses for us and everyone around us (20+ minutes), for which our waiter was apologetic for. It seemed like there was a slowdown in the kitchen. My second cocktail unfortunately was not as good as my first one, and we think my husband was served the incorrect drink. My shrimp on my pasta was cold, the noodles were very thick and overcooked, and the sauce tasted a little gritty and off.
This is our first Valentine’s Day after getting married and the overall service/food/ experience was so bad we eventually started laughing about it, and probably will in the years to come
If you’re fans of the show I suggest stopping in for a cocktail/in the bar area, but you can definitely skip the dinner.
