My family is traveling from out of state and decided to visit the Supreme Soulfood on Church St The reason we tried the restaurant was because of the foodie Instagram guy Champ, he really lead a to believe that this food would be a the business, well sorry to say it was not !! . First, the customer service wasn’t the best but I still gave the cashier a tip( money wasted) . The young lady didn’t seem happy nor excited to service customers.. We were unaware of the menu and waited 25 minutes for old reheated cooked food that gave the vibe of being cooked in dirty old grease . I was truly disappointed and trust will not recommend to anyone! Secondly, there were flies flying around the food like they made it. Not only did we have wait for our food that was just sitting on the counter getting cold. So needless to say when we are back in town, we won’t be eating there again .

This was my 1st time eating here and let me tell you after looking at those mouth watering photos I just had to try it, let’s just say they have a new customer on there roster. The smell of good food hit me in the face as soon as I walked in. The smothered Liver & Onions over rice, a side of mac & cheese and collard greens definitely hit the spot but I didn’t stop there you know ya boy had to try the chicken wings. Definitely coming back!!!!!

I had the pleasure of ordering the chicken dinner, and my two sides was Mac and cheese and yams. Chicken was not seasoned, yams from the can, and Mac and cheese had no flavor. Honest I’m mad I wasted my money. Lady that was taking my order was very rude.

I see with continuous public support & strict positive hustle this place will grow very quickly. Everyone had a welcoming & ready-to-serve smile. It’s new so, more of a grab & go but they do not play when it comes to the soul food flavor.
A lot of new places don’t put time & soul into their food anymore. I stopped trying new places b/c everyone’s food tasted like fried flour & old grease. In addition to making you choose between a bunch of fried sides cooked in the same oil….. but I digress, lol.

Visiting from SC and although I know VA soul food is nothing like back home , I thought I’d give it a try.. I found this place on google. It’s in a sketch area, but those places usually have the best food. The service wasn’t the greatest only because there is a long wait. There was one person preparing the orders, and one person cooking. I ordered the pork chops, collard greens and potato salad. The greens were sooooooo salty. Like they just dumped the whole container of Morton’s salt in. The potato salad was okay. The pork chops and gravy was pretty good. I’d probably give them another try but I wouldn’t order the collard greens ever.

OMG, you talk about not needing season on ANYTHING! I’m the type that I normally add to but not at all here. The food was ridiculously good. I will tell you one thing; EVERYONE can’t make gravy, Supreme definitely can. I really enjoyed my meal today, I’ll be back soon! 5⭐️ for me!

I’ve tried every soul food restaurant in this area and this is by far the best. When it comes to soul food, a lot of people over season their food or under season their food, But this place IS ON POINT EVERYTIME!!!!! My favorite dish is the liver and onions and their chicken wings are great too. So if you’re looking for that old school, grandma and great grandma cooking check them out you would not be disappointed.

Shockingly Rude Service
I don’t usually write negative reviews, but my experience with Supreme Soulfood in Norfolk, VA was so appalling that I feel compelled to warn others. I called to place an order and was met with outright hostility from the receptionist. Not only were they rude, but they hung up on me twice. During the second call, I was told, “You’re wasting my time being on the phone.” I couldn’t believe what I was hearing.
This kind of behavior is unacceptable in any business, let alone one that relies on customer loyalty. I never even got the chance to place my order, and after being treated with such disrespect, I won’t be trying again. There are plenty of restaurants in Norfolk that serve great food and treat their customers with basic courtesy. Supreme Soul food clearly isn’t one of them.

SUPPORT SMALL BUSINESS!! Im a Postal Worker & one of my coworkers brought food back from here. Them liver & onions, greens & mac & cheese was Da Bomb! I brought the Family by Sunday & We Are Thrilled! I appreciate the Love put into preparation of my food! Turkey Chops, Pork Chops, Catfish Collards!

Every time I go in the food is hot and tastes pretty good. I seen some of the reviews on here, cut the people some slack man. This is a small black owned business and they work hard servicing the community. They be holding it down. I appreciate business in the neighborhood
