Sat at the bar and got some happy hour things and dessert. Everything was so good. The bartender is very bubbly and awesome. They definitely have some of the best meatballs ever. Very flavorful, tender with a little kick. The fizz cocktail was delicious, too

We stopped in here early for a distillery tour and decided on having a bite. Afternoon in the dining room bar area really gives you an appreciation for the decor, very cool ,not pretentious. We ordered drinks, house dark veer for me and my girlfriend had a sangria, which had to be the prettiest sangria I’ve ever seen. Our drinks were just the beginning. We split an order of Lutenitza which is made from roasted peppers, chilis, pomegranate and walnuts, served with naan bread. Blow away by how delicious this was. Need to order extra bread next time though, one was not enough to finish it. We also split a lamb & beef doner, which is stuffed with cucumbers, tomatoes, lettuce, chili’s, and and a garlic sauce. This was the star, different flavors combos in every bite with a slow delightful heat to it. Loved it. We sat at the bar and the service was top notch and very personable. Will definitely come back when I’m in Detroit.

I’ve eaten here twice and the first experience was very good so I returned.
The second time was very unpleasant. I could tell they were short-staffed, and I felt sorry for the server, but even given that fact, she was rushed and just not polite and kind of threw the food down on the table. Even worse, when I asked a question she was obviously upset by it.

So then the food came out and the hummus had a hair in it, and I ordered a Donner kebab and it was so dry. It was almost inedible. The dessert was bad. I think it was a pear tart.

I won’t be back

I had so many people ask about where this food was when I posted pictures and I was excited to share! The food was very good here and just the right size to still finish and be full, but not too full. Overall, great experience here for a nicer date night!

Wow the menu here is all class, the humus was velvet, the pork chops divine and the chicken was perfect. Fantastic detail to each dish and the quality was excellent. I recommend this place for a dine in experience in the heart of Corktown.

I have been to this spot many times and the newest version of the dinner menu was rather disappointing! The fish was borderline inedible it was extremely bland and had this hard rice on the bottom. The sticky ribs were also very mediocre. My friends seemed to enjoy their donairs but complained there was way too much spice in portions of it. The service was also spotty, we had to remind them of our drinks multiple times.

All of the sides/ apps/ drinks we ordered were very good however! The patio ambiance is also very nice. I would go back with a big group for drinks but definitely not what I remembered in terms of food quality.

Supergeil is more than just a restaurant; it’s a vibrant experience that lives up to its German name, meaning “super cool.” From the moment you step inside, you’re enveloped in an atmosphere that seamlessly blends modern art with an eclectic decor, creating a truly unique and inviting space.

The culinary journey at Supergeil is nothing short of exceptional. Their menu is a testament to creativity, offering a delightful array of flavorful dishes with a strong emphasis on expertly prepared meats, especially their renowned doner options. Each bite is a discovery, bursting with innovative flavor combinations that showcase fresh, seasonal ingredients and a clear passion for scratch cooking.

Beyond the savory, Supergeil’s cocktail and mocktail program is equally impressive. Their innovative drinks perfectly complement the food, elevating the entire dining experience. And to top it all off, the portion sizes are generous and the prices are competitive, offering incredible value without compromising on quality.

What truly sets Supergeil apart is its commitment to creating a memorable experience. The attentive service, combined with the restaurant’s distinct flair and diverse menu (including excellent vegetarian and vegan options like the eggplant doner), makes it a must-visit destination in Detroit’s thriving culinary scene. Whether you’re looking for a casual meal or a special night out, Supergeil delivers an experience that resonates long after the last bite. It’s the kind of place you’ll want to return to again and again.
