I was told by my foodie SIL from Ohio to come here to try this place and her advice didn’t disappoint. It’s a fast casual Japanese American menu with chicken sandwiches, burgers and hot dogs including vegan and gluten free options with separate fryers. I ordered the Chicken Bites and Spicy Miso Soup. The chicken had a yuzu and ginger marinade served with lemon mayo and was twice fried to perfection. The miso soup had the perfect level of spice that made my eye balls sweat a little. I’ve been anticipating my next chance to come back when I’m in the midtown area again. Note: street parking only.

This is a very unique restaurant in Detroit, Michigan with hamburgers hot dogs and a number of other things with Japanese influence. It is one of the most unique menus that I have ever seen. The food was really delicious. The people behind the counter we’re very friendly and easy to talk to.

Chicken Sandwich- I thought everything was well thought out but the chicken didn’t taste marinated no yuzu or ginger taste at all.

Umami fries- should have used a sauces to dip a bit acidic

Fish sandwich- flaky good
Curry dog- hot dog itself great quality, sauce taste a lot like the sauce used for curry chicken salad

Overall pretty solid place

We popped in hungry and ended up having amazing chicken sandwiches (crispiest we ever had) with seasoned fries and Detroit Soda Company drinks. A great find and totally recommended!

My husband and I were in the museum district for an event and stopped by SuperCrisp for a quick bite to eat after. We were impressed by the variety of choices on the menu and the quality of the food. My husband had the super fried chicken sandwich and the chicken was fried to perfection! I had the fried tofu sandwich (spicy) and it was also delicious. We were both tempted to order a couple of hot dogs to try (they reminded us of the Japadogs in Vancouver) but we were simply too full. We will definitely back next time we are in the area! 🙂

First time dining at Super Crisp — and wow, we were impressed! The vibe is welcoming and funky in the best way. It made for a really fun (and rare!) date night.

The restaurant was spotless, and we were warmly greeted as soon as we walked in. Ordering was quick and easy, too. We tried the umami fries, edamame, the wasabi burger, and a plain hamburger with katsu mayo — loved every bite. Flavorful American diner comfort with an Asian fusion twist.

They also had board games available (maybe a holiday thing?), and we had a blast playing Trouble. The Pop-O-Matic still has its magic! We’ll definitely be back.

Met up some friends here and finally tried a few options here. Our favorites were the fried chicken sandwich and kimchi fries. You can get the chicken spicy or not spicy, our group had both versions and liked them. The kimchi fries were very tasty, might have even been our favorite out of all the items, so if you like kimchi and some heat, definitely order them.

Wasabi burger was decent. Kali dog was okay, but would have been better with much less pickled ginger. Our friends tried the wings and also said they were good. Their yuzu lemonade was pretty tasty and refreshing.

The timing/wait for our food was normal and adequate. The restaurant was pretty clean. The staff was friendly and willing to help us for our first time there. We’ll be sure to try it again if we’re ever in the area.

This is definitely my favorite place within walking distance of where I live. The spicy chicken sandwich is to die for and never disappoints. The asian flavors are subtle and fun.

It’s definitely pricey but I’d rather have one incredible meal than 2 mediocre ones from a different place.

The restaurant is clean and comfortable. Except for the absolutely blaring music. It is distressingly loud and prevents me from dining indoors, though most of my friends are unbothered. This is consistent.

Today I ordered the Wasabi Burger. Very tasty, wasabi sauce is spicy enough for those who like spicy foods without being overpowering (at least in my opinion, I like spicy). Also like the crispy onions and pickled red onions which enhance the flavor. I have ordered the Kimchi fries in the past; which are delish! Next time I plan to try the Kimchi dog or chicken sandwich. As a fast food restaurant goes I like the change from the norm. Also, staff are nice as well which is always welcoming.

Great vegan options and tasty menu clearly marked. Casual and kid friendly. Loved the vegan lemon Mayo and crispy tofu, but it was too oily. That’s why they give you moist towelettes for take out! The Kali dog was like sushi in hot dog form and delicious but huge and hard to eat if you have a small mouth. Still, want to try the rest of their vegan options and local sodas.
