Ive only uber eats this but I loved it so much i ordered twice in a row. Fresh hot chicken delivered to my door. You cannot beat that, and this right here if you’re used to good mexican food. This right here hits in terms of pollos asados.

Super Chicken?
This chicken place has been around for several years. Rent must be a good deal. It is a tiny house, after all. Honestly, it’s a cute miniature house; like one you would see on “Tiny House Nation”! Well, the Texan urban version, anyways! Drive thru is a very popular option. We chose to dine in this time. They have a small dining area with about 5 tables, each with a paper towel roll and a salt shaker. The basics. Practical, that’s about it. Very small area, connected to the counter where you order, with the menu plastered on the wall. A menu from the minimal side orders and drinks to the combination means, am the way to the $460 Family Meal Deal that “Feeds 72 People”!
We ordered a combination plate (2 pieces with fideo, salad, flautas), a chicken #2 with charro beans, corn tortillas, onion, peppers, rice, plus an extra chicken flautas side and guacamole. 2 waters, free salsa.
They were courteous, efficient, fast.
Food was good. Chicken was seasoned well, tender overall, with a few dry edges, but no big deal. Guacamole was a little high priced relative to the other items on the menu it seemed; it was good, but not $5 for the cup good! The 3 flautas were only $3.50, and crispy tasty! Alas, I suppose avocados are more pricey than the shredded chicken and tortillas? Beans and rice were standard, no complaints. Fideo was served hot, sans any meat or vegetables, but served its goal as a soothing, warm accompaniment.
Only issue for us was the loud Spanish television program playing relentlessly in the tiny rectangle room, but the other patrons seemed to be sufficiently distracted by it. Shame on me for being so close to the border and not learning the language yet? It did unfortunately make it difficult for us to have a conversation without raising our voices.
Overall, satisfactory food with a bare basics dining room. Not worth a huge detour, but if in convenient distance to anyone craving Mexican style chargeilled chicken, give it a shot.

I pass the restaurant everyday on my way to work. I stopped in one night and ordered their enchiladas and let me tell you. It was delicious. I was pretty much full. So on another night I tried their chicken fajitas mini tacos, which was loaded with chicken and plenty of onions and cilantro and the lime set it off. Now this is the smaller location they have on Walzem, not the main one behind the old IHOP. Just so people won’t confuse the two. If, you haven’t tried them, you should.

¡El Sabor es REAL! WOW!! I was truly impressed. I am a Native Texan, Black American born in Corpus Christi. I speak Spanish and I have family and friends in Mexico . I know about the art of smoking and grilling chicken, and I am very familiar with the subtle nuances of different cultural tastes and flavors, both here in America and in Mexico. So when I heard about Super Pollos Asados, I knew that I had to check them out. And they far exceeded my expectations. I ordered the half chicken, and it was absolutely amazing. Juicy, tender, seasoned chicken roasted and grilled to perfection, with grilled onions and a fat Jalapeño, served with exquisite Charro beans with chicharron and Spanish rice, plus two warm tortillas of your choice, either corn or flour, and fresh lime and salsa verde to bring it all together. Excellent, Superb, Maravilloso!! I will eat here again and again and again!! I have found my spot for el Sabor Real!! VIVA SUPER POLLOS ASADOS!! Sigue!!

I ordered the beef fajita plate and was disgusted to find a sticker still stuck on a piece of bell pepper. That’s a serious mistake and shows a complete lack of food safety and attention to detail.
When I brought it up to a lady at the restaurant, she told me I would be given a replacement plate. But when I came in, a man (possibly a manager) was rude and unprofessional. He told me I would need to pay half for the replacement and said they “don’t want to give out free meals.” Seriously?
I was calm and respectful the whole time, but their attitude made it clear they didn’t care about making it right. Between the health risk and the way I was treated, I won’t be coming back—and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Very upset having to leave this type of review after going to this restaurant for years !

This is a little hole in the wall restaurant. The service is on point. Unfortunately the food is average nothing special about this place. Had my hope up because I love small hole in the wall places. The physical appearance is not inviting at all but took a chance on it because of the reviews. Was disappointed.

I Stop at this place for some chicken and I was disappointed in the quality of their food. The chicken had flavor but lack tenderness it took the strength of god to break the chicken apart and that usually mean the chicken was cooked but not cooked enough to become fall off the bone like most fire grill chicken. The rice was dry but was seasoned and the beans were good. If I ever eat here again I will not get the half chicken meal and also the staff needs to work one their customer service.

First time coming through here. Got a 3 piece chicken meal. It was probably the best tasting chicken I have had in years. I don’t know what kind of flavoring they use, but it is fantastic and the chicken was not dry either. Went in to order and the lady at the register was very very kind and patient admist their busy operation (a lot of cars started to roll through the drive thru). Very impressed.
Update: They’re still fantastic and super friendly on the phone, no disappointment

Went there today and accidently orders a half bird, for me and my girlfriend to split, and it was so good, the food was amazing and the staff was kind and patient and I say they did an amazing job.
