Such a cool place. The grill out front ensures that your stomach is rumbling before you even get into the door! I got the papusas and they were delicious. All fresh and hand made, they were very good. The salsa that came with them too made them perfect.

This restaurant was a big disappointment to me. I thoroughly enjoy Pollo Asado (Mexican Roast Chicken) in my hometown but not here. There are several small restaurants in the Kansas City area that serve this grilled chicken with tortillas and side dishes that are great. So, I thought I would try Pollo Asada here in Liberal to see how they would do it. Here are the results:
The chicken was tender but barely warm. All the food seemed as if it was kept warm since lunch and we had it at about 5:30 pm. The grilled jalapeno peppers were almost tasteless as were the marinated onions. The only tasty side dish was the beans. We tried it once and wouldn’t be back.

Great grilled chicken, what can I say! We travel to Mexico a lot and I love their grilled chicken. Well, super pollo was delicious and authentic! A great stop when passing through Liberal KS!

Great food and great family-owned and operated Cafe. Maria Hernandez, the owner is a wonderful person and well worth meeting if she’s there. It was 105° today in Liberal and their hot salsa was even hotter.

Driving through and stopped for some quick food. Got the whole chicken meal and fed my three person family for around $15. Everything was super delicious and fast. Best corn tortillas I’ve ever had! Do not waste your time or tastebuds on fast food!

This place will knock your socks off with their chicken. The owner is super friendly and loves sharing his story about his store. We were traveling through to get to another state and grabbed the items to go. Wish we would have sat down and enjoyed more of this delicious food!!

We found this place after a long drive from Colorado. Great service and the Pollo asado was great; lots of sides and perfectly cooked. Yes the restaurant itself was pretty funky don’t let appearances fool you.

Walked in excited to try the place out and got treated like I had a disease or something. They were reluctant to wait on me and then took my order between nasty glances. Didn’t take my money or ask for any so I stepped back and waited for like 20-30 minutes standing there while people came and went with their food and orders so I walked out….never to return….never been somewhere like that…trippin to say the least.
