Sunshine Pizza in St. Helens Review and Recommendation
Reviews
The salad buffet is laid out well and is delicious! There’s cinnamon sticks, garlic bread sticks, full fixings/toppings for the salads with 6 different dressing options.
There’s also cottage cheese, potato salad, dessert mousse with different flavors, chocolate pudding, and tapioca pudding in the salad buffet. Just go for the unlimited buffet plate and bring the pizza home as leftovers. That’s what we end up doing!
Salad bar is great
Homemade cookies are great
My Husband and I average to go orders twice a week. Great food and good prices. It is nice to be able to get food without breaking the bank. All of the workers there are really nice as well. Keep up the good work.
Oh! And sadly, no more arcade next to the lobby! that was the coolest part of this place!
Postives: Food was really good. Pizza was very good and fresh. Best salad bar I have seen! It was clean and a lot of options. Their ranch is really good.
Negatives: They charge $1.25 or so for a side of ranch.
I am so disappointed looking back at my last review. I took my grandson for breakfast the other morning and it was enough I doubt I will go back for breakfast there ever. They have raised the prices while lowering not only the quality, but the quantity of food. I understand that prices have to be raised now, but the quality of food should not change and you should not end up with less for more, even in these horrible times.
I ordered bacon and eggs over medium well with pancakes and apple juice. The eggs were ordered as medium so for me, they were underdone, the pancakes that used to be huge and fluffy were now flat and raw in the middle and they looked awful. The bacon was overcooked and I was not able to eat it. And the apple juice we got out of the cooler was expired. Granted it was only a few days, but it obviously was old.
My grandson had biscuits and gravy with sausage. He said the sausage was good, but the gravy had no taste and the biscuits were crunchy. He also had an expired apple juice.
I am still a fan of the salad bar although those prices also went way up.
Sadly, this is no longer a hidden gem, reasonable or good. 🙁
The pictures of the menu were what it was a year ago and still posted online, although grossly incorrect now. I wish I had pics of what it costs now to show the increases, but I do not.
This was a post I did a year ago: Hidden gem. Breakfast here is soooo good and reasonable! We love eating here! Not just breakfast either, love the salad bar and Lasagna. Yummmmm
First off, the staff was very friendly. We ordered a large pepperoni with olives, extra pepperoni extra cheese, on the new York style crust, with light sauce! And a medium spicy Hawaiian with light sauce. And an order of the garlic cheesy bread! The pepperonis had such good flavor to them! Nice and spicy! Good pepperonis are hard to find! So that’s a major plus! The dough was so fresh and had amazing flavor. Next time we will get them extra crispy. But we just popped it in the oven on broil and it was good as gold! Highly recommend them! We will be returning for sure!
