I work in the service industry so you would have to do the bare minimum I will tip the server generously due to the fact I work in the industry. I walk in the restaurant it looks like it had a private party and everyone was leaving . There were a party of 8 all the way in the top and I was there second customer. I wanted something different so I asked for the koel bird curry with white rice. All the food is pre cooked so the food shouldn’t take more than 5 to 10 min.I waiting 20 mins and nothing was arrived to my table after another 10 mins I searched for the server , I asked her where is my food . She than asked someone else where is his food. A restaurant could be made out of gold but if service and the food is not there , that gold is meaningless, a restaurants with the bare minimum but is customer felt acknowledged and the food is meet standard the service will make the food taste even better. To barely have any customers and the server completely forgotten about the only customer the restaurant had is disappointing. This reviews is for the owner personally, take my advice to the heart. Every failing business have something in common and every successful business something in common. Your business meet everything in common that a failing business have. Three main thing you need to focus on first the most important thing service, second the vibe , third is the food. Please go over the steps of service with your server. You can Google it , it’s is the most important thing that will make your place stand out .vibe is when I come dine in your restaurant , what energy is the place bringing , is it party ? Romantic for me to bring my partner . Third is the food . The food making sure every dish meet the expectations. Think of what value you can bring for the guest and in return the guest will bring the value to your place by referring to there friends . I will come back again sometime please fix the issue . I know it’s not the owner fault but the management need to be fix .

This was my first time at Sunshine JH! I absolutely loved the food—each dish filled with so much flavor. Servers were super hospitable and kind. I will definitely be coming back with family!

We tried their weekend nashta buffet and can’t express how much we liked it. They have a good collection of meat dishes like paya, nihari, keema. They had naan and paratha but also served fresh, warm pooris on the table. As beverage we had mango lassi and pakistani tea. The biryani was also top notch pakistani style biryani. The ambience and the crowd felt like home, the auntie serving us was welcoming and felt like we can to her home as mehman. Only downside was the haleem, as expected, being different from Bangladeshi style. Really enjoyed and hope to come back in future.

This place is ok. Had dinner (not the buffet). Goat curry was good and the lentils were good, a bit spicy and not mushy. The garlic naan could’ve been fluffier. I wish they served coffee as well. They only have cardamom tea. Servers were nice, polite, and bathroom was cleaner than most in Jackson Heights. This restaurant is very family friendly-oriented in terms of the patrons I saw.

We had the lunch buffet special for $15 offered Mon – Fri. There were mostly meat options and not a lot of other variety, but the food was good. The restaurant isn’t in the busy part of Jackson Heights. The restaurant itself is clean and has a lot of seating. I would recommend trying the buffet on the weekend when there are more options or simply ordering specific dishes you want.

Got two Kati rolls, which were both great and an amazing value. Amazed at the size. I’ve eaten all over NYC for over a decade but never had haleem. It was so savory and delicious – protein packed. Try it with a crunchy bread. Decor and music were great. Hope to go back.

The ifter buffet they mentioned 25$ + tax. How much one expect it would be around 27 $ with tax.but they are literally robbers people it comes 33$ all together. That’s totally bullshit. They charge you for service charge 6$. I Don’t understand in ifter buffet what kind of service they gave it to us? In the front its write down more than 4 people tips included. They’re opened business for extra charges. Eventhought service is not ok. The items are not all available as they showed you. Its totally disappointing and waste od money

My husband and I went for a morning weekend buffet food was not so good. We had biryani which was tasteless and cold. All the food was cold the thing I liked was only chickpeas (Lahori Channa)
There was no puri at that time and paratha was very hard.
On the other side Chinese buffet on Wednesdays are better than weekends
buffet.

In a word, It was divine. The food was amazing and the management was very patient and skilled while handling the long line at their grand opening.
The Nihari and the luchis at the breakfast was to die for and the Halwa was the perfect sweet ending to the perfect breakfast.
Don’t miss out on the goat curry and the variety Tandoori Chickens from their dinner menu. The payesh was incredibly decadent and creamy.
Overall, it was an amazing experience and I’d definitely go for seconds✌️.

Went for their breakfast buffet and not gonna lie we were disappointed because of the goat paya and halim. First the good points, not too crowded when we reached there at 10:30. The lassi, tea, aluu and chana were good. But the highlights of the buffet felt short. Their goat paya was undercooked and still had smell. I found the parathas undercooked and hard to eat. Halim wasn’t good either. But for the price of $15+ tax it was okay. Wont go again for breakfast buffet all the way from another part of the town. However my friends who accompanied me recommended their regular menu items at other times.
