Great spot especially for breakfast/brunch. Very cozy. Really enjoy being able to sit outside or inside. No frills food with some interesting menu options and rotating specials. Love the coffee. Service is really friendly.

There were a lot of people, we came during breakfast, our waitress was amazing, the food was good, it took around 15min to arrive, it was busy but not too loud.

The restaurant has a classic diner vibe, offering seating at the counter, in booths, and at tables. Our initial greeting was lukewarm, and we didn’t quite feel the ‘Sunshine’ mentioned in the cafe’s name. We had the freedom to choose our seating, and we felt most comfortable in the less crowded extended seating at the other end of the restaurant.

We were barely seated before being asked about our drink and food choices. When we requested more time, we were given plenty of it. When our server finally returned, we ordered the “Duce,” which included eggs cooked in any style, pancakes or French toast, bacon or sausage. We also ordered the Breakfast Tacos with Potato Cakes and a side of Lemon Dressed Mixed Greens made with their in-house dressing.

The food was mediocre at best. The pancakes were pale and only became palatable with the addition of syrup. The “seasoned” chicken in the Breakfast Tacos lacked flavor, and we had to rely on the provided Frank’s Extra Hot sauce to enhance the taste. The Lemon Dressed Mixed Greens dressing was lacking in lemon flavor; it seemed like plain oil with barely detectable seasoning. The Potato Cakes were the highlight of the meal.

We were given our check while still eating, without being asked if we needed anything else, and there was no indication that our service would continue. We are unlikely to return to this establishment, as the service seemed to favor the regular patrons, and the food provided a neutral experience.

“Nobody goes there anymore. It’s too crowded.” – Yogi Berra

First-time visit and couldn’t be happier. While the restaurant was full, we didn’t have to wait long for our table for a party of six. Our waitress Nina made us feel right at home, as did the owner Ken who spoke with us while waiting for a table.

Staff was spot on with service and a smile. While we had a waitress, all hands were on deck to ensure our experience was exceptional. Of course, that service has to be backed up with delicious food and it was exactly that. Plates we’re cleared!

Had a great time and look forward to going back again the next time I’m in Philly.

So glad we came here! It was recommended by a friend and we are so glad we found this place! Such a friendly atmosphere, great service, and delicious food! Everything we ordered was super tasty, even our two picky toddlers ate a ton! Can’t wait to make this a regular spots, definitely looking forward to our next visit. Highly recommend the corn fritters and eggs Benedict

Stopped here for Breakfast. First time here.
It seems to be the place all the locals come for breakfast. Staff knew many of the customers by name and arriving customers would stop and talk to others who had arrived earlier.

I ordered the meat lovers omelette. Food arrived quickly and was piping hot. However, it had no flavor.

Price was reasonable.

There are other places in the area which I like better so I don’t think I will rush back here.

Decent food and service. BBQ wings were crispy and steak&eggs were delicious! Wings came out missing dipping sauce. Friendly staff and cozy atmosphere!

I love it here. The staff is great.. they move ridiculously fast! The tables outback could use some reinforcement and maybe some cushions on the chairs that are weather proof (so they can be sanitized and not get moldy depending on weather changing) but the outside area with the Edison lights, the flowers and the food is just absolutely fantastic! Must try the crepes and the loaded home fries…. But don’t sell them out or I’ll be sad.
