This place used to be so good. Food was fresh and well stocked. Now the food is terrible. I ordered a tomato and rice soup, veggie wrap and their iced tea.
The soup went bad and was sour! Almost $8 I spent on a soup and i wasn’t even able to eat it. The wrap originally was supposed to have hummus but they ran out. I substituted avocado but still. Iced tea is still good. Now the best part.
If you are looking for the most miserable woman in Suffolk county, she works at this deli. Short blond hair and a destiny to spread misery. She acts like I was bothering her! Lady if you don’t like your job and /or people don’t work there. Don’t give me an attitude when I’m trying to order food. I mentioned this to whom I thought was the boss and was told yeah she’s always nasty. Fire her! I’m not the only person that said this in reviews.
So yeah, my days of going here are over. I try to support them but I can’t anymore.

Generously apportioned sandwich on a fresh roll with fresh ingredients.

Last sunday I ordered a roll sandwich, and not only was it a stale roll and mediocre portions of meat and cheese, but it was SIXTEEN DOLLARS for this. While I did order through doordash (marked up), the sandwich should nor nearly be that poor of quality even if it was 10 dollars.
Only benefit they have is they are open later than all the other delis in Westhampton. Even then, just go to Hurricane or Whitneys when they are open.

Ordered for pick up. Probably can’t see it very well on the picture but clearly they don’t wash their lettuce (or if they do it’s a bang up job) because I kept finding pieces with dirt on them. I thought maybe it was chucks from the grilled chicken, but it was not as it was all over the lettuce only. Food is overpriced. Also their workers don’t wear their masks properly.

After moving off long Island you realize that no other state knows what a hero / BEC SPK is and you come to miss it everyday. Anytime I travel home I make sunset deli one of my first stops! The staff is always welcoming and I know there is a smile underneath those masks. Jen , the manager/ family owner always knows what I am craving from hangover breakfast sandwiches to the piled high heros. This place is must try! 5* all around .

Had the absolute worst experience this morning. The woman behind the counter gave me attitude with every word that came out of her mouth, as if I was such an inconvenience for ordering 2 wraps. The wraps were so small and the iced tea was sour. I will never go here again.

On the way to the beach, my friend and I stopped to get ourselves lunch for later. I ordered myself tuna on a bagel. You can only imagine my shock when I was charged $14! Highway robbery! I immediately thought that was the cost of my bagel AND my friend’s bagel who ordered one as well, but no. A can of tuna at most is a few dollars as well as a bagel. Where do you get off charging $14 for tuna on a bagel? Are you a deli to the stars? Shameful!! In this economic climate where many people are unable to put food on the table for their children, choosing between formula and diapers, giving up their beloved pets, it is an absolute outrage and disgrace that you would charge such an exorbitant amount for tuna on a bagel JUST BECAUSE YOU CAN. Next time I go to the beach, I will stop at another deli that doesn’t charge $14 for tuna on a bagel. I will not patronize a deli that cares so little for its customers. And I know for a fact, because I’ve ordered this many times, there are many other delis that don’t charge $14 for tuna on a bagel. You should be ashamed of yourselves! And if you’re going to charge $14 for tuna on a bagel, please make sure it’s the most delicious bagel ever. I can assure you, yours was not. Not even close.

As far as ordering pick up using Uber eats goes: when I got there, they seem to have completely forgotten about my order so I stood there and waited for 10 minutes when another woman come in also saying she used Uber and they gave her her food right away when I asked one of the gentlemen behind the counter if he was sure that was her food he said yes she’s a customer pick up assuming that I was an Uber driver I was not an Uber driver and I had to explain to him that I also was doing customer pick up. having said all that does that mean that Customer pick ups get prioritized over an Uber driver? shouldn’t an order be completed in the order it was received? I ended up standing there for 25 minutes which defeats the purpose of ordering online. The food is great, but if you can’t handle the online orders, then just don’t do it. I understand you don’t wanna be using the phone to take orders which is totally understandable but limit yourself to one order pick up method and save yourself the trouble.
