Heard about a Romanian restaurant and celebrated my birthday there last night. Our table of four ordered the stuffed cabbage, polenta, chicken schnitzel, and a pork schnitzel sandwich. Everyone enjoyed the food, sharing tastes including two orders of placenta (cheese & spinach). The sarmale, mamaliga and placenta brought back wonderful childhood memories. The schnitzels were cooked to a perfect crispness. This was a memorable birthday celebration, we’ll be back.

Loved this place! Went there with my Romanian friend to check it out. I was extremely pleased with how everything tasted and so was he. We tried the bean soup, eggplants spread (salad), mitzch, cabbage rolls, chicken salad, and the pork loin sausage. Don’t remember all the names of the delicious food but I will remember the flavors. So tasty! Surprisingly accessible to a Midwest palette like mine.

As a native Romanian, the food was very authentic and delivious, especially the stuffed bell pepper. The owner snd his wife and very curteous and welcoming. The atmosphere is also quite authentic inside. Perfect option if you’re looking for an authentic Romanian food experience

Space is like a diner in a run down strip mall, but it works for this restaurant.
We were excited to try something new and unique but the overall experience was meh!
The space seemed authentic enough. There were a couple of other tables occupied and we were the only ones that didn’t speak the same language as the owner/chef. This actually added to the disappointment of the food.
For 3 adults and a child, we paid about 135 bucks with tip. The food was carb heavy with minimal protein. The only thing we enjoyed was the eggplant salad. Presentation was good though.
I don’t know if the food was authentic but wasn’t a winner for me.

I recently visited Sunset Bistro and I had the halal gyro plate, it was amazing everything tasted so flavorful. The fries had the perfect crisp and the gyro meat was tender and well seasoned. Definitely would recommend

As a Romanian native, I can totally vouch for this place to send me back to the good old days. Great ‘home-style’ dishes. The beef tripe soup is a must experience for any newcomer to the Romanian cuisine. Had the lamb and beef stew as well while taking a colleague along this time. The richness of the dishes makes up for what some might consider to be moderate portions, on top of this being the kind of fare your Romanian grandma normally prepared an entire day in kitchen to serve you.
Definitely coming back!

I have been extremely excited to try this place out for a very long time and I was not disappointed. They have amazing food for really good prices. The guy working was very nice and friendly. The restaurant itself was decorated to be very pretty inside.

This place is very calm and it was worth being excited for Romanian Food. And the fries were the best food I’ve ever eaten (for fries) I highly recommend the Gyro Plate 8.93/10 Deliciousness and the staff was very friendly. Amazing.

I was thrilled to find this place that caters to a wide variety of Romanian /Eastern European dishes, in addition to a decent wine selection. I found the “mici” aka “mititei” aka ” little skinless sausages” juicy and well seasoned, and the “sarmale” / cabbage rolls full of flavored and very authentic. Highly recommend to Romanians / Eastern Europeans for some great comfort food, as well as to anyone looking to experience a true taste of Romanian cuisine in the Seattle area.

I got take out today and this place is absolutely incredible. The dining room and restrooms are spotless and they have charming Romanian decorations around the restaurant. The food is honestly the best I’ve had in the greater Seattle area – the Sarmale (cabbage rolls) and polenta in particular are very authentic and delicious. I will DEFINITELY be returning to try more food.
