This is a decent spot if you’re looking for something in old town Issaquah. The service was great, the atmosphere was good, there were some Christmas decorations on the wall so it added a festive touch. However the cocktails were weak, The food was lacking in flavor, the gumbo was darker than expected and waaaay too spicy but it was good, the beef stroganoff was very disappointing, it didn’t have the typical sour cream based sauce I was looking for, it hardly any sauce and zero flavor, I could only eat a few bites, the flavor was lacking big time and the trout with seasonal vegetables was so-so, the veggies were dry and overcooked, also the water served is not filtered. All in all I could come back and try something else, there’s outdoor seating but no outdoor heaters. So if you’re ok with all the flaws then give it a try!

TGIF, checking out their Happy hours after work. It was not crowded when we first got there but it did get crowded. Parking is not that big because parking is for all businesses. It is not big happy hours food options, we ordered sample platter with Cheese curds, onion rings and chicken fingers. The onion rings were crispy, not too much batter, and bite size. The 3 pieces of chicken figures were okay, not dry and the batter also were not thick. My coworkers said cheese curds were good. We both go little cheese burger. It was good size for me. The bun was moist and meat patty not over cooked. Service was good. She came checked on us. It is like bar setting with a lot of booths with TVs. You can watching the games from most seats.

After reading a few reviews, we stopped in to check out Sunset Alehouse for ourselves.

Our status included the polenta and cheese covered tots. I enjoyed both. The polenta was nice and crispy. The tots were also crispy with lots of gooey cheese and bacon. We devoured both.

For my entree, I had half of the peanut butter burger and the grinder. The grinder had the classic saltiness you’d expect and the bread was nice and firm as to not fall apart. The peanut butter burger was one of the better burgers of this type of variant I’ve had. The meat party was flavorful and supple. The peanut butter was pervasive in every bite which made the burger really stand out. The regular fries and sweet potato fries were good, but nothing special.

My daughter had the chicken fried steak. I took a bite and didn’t like it / think it was good. That dish seemed like a big miss to me. Another member of our party had the grilled salmon, but didn’t enjoy it since it was too salty. The server graciously took it off of our bill.

If you like sportsbars / bar food, I recommend giving Sunset Alehouse a try. The food and service are very good.

I like several of there entrees a lot. There crispy chicken salad is amazing although I doubt it’s low cal. There chophouse burger is loaded with goodness including a bacon relish. Highly recommend if you’re not watching your waistline

I love to come here for lunch on weekends and I really appreciate how many delicious fresh options they have. The green hummus, the stuffed portabella mushroom the Lox Bagel, Ruben, and Philly cheese steak are fantastic. For an alehouse it’s very clean and the menu is more refined than you would expect. Everyone who works there is very nice, fun to talk to, and patient if you need a minute to decide what you’re having. Taco Tuesdays never disappoint, and the DIY mimosa bar is perfect if you’re looking for a spot for a group brunch outing.

Ordered the Sunset Cheeseburger with loaded tots as the side. Burger was flavorful, fit the bun, and the the bun was delicious. Also they have a patio that they can pull the cover over for shade if you want to sit outside. *Bonus* They’re pet-friendly. See photo for proof ☺️

The food was delicious and the service was great. The staff was friendly and helpful. We didn’t have to wait long before we ordered. The food came out in a reasonable amount of time and it was super yummy. I had the TBLAT sandwich and my family had the French dip sandwiches and they loved it. We will definitely be back.

Stopped here after walking on the Rainier Trail. This is a hidden gem! The food was delicious!. We had the Thai lettuce wraps & Reuben sandwich. Tasty, fresh. The tap beers were cold & crisp- tried a local amber lager & a local dark stout. Our server was great! The menu has lots of options for carnivores & vegetarians alike. And we appreciated the music which was mostly rock.

Our favorite local pub, many beers and some ciders on tap, and more. The menu expanded and improved since the kitchen upgrade. Grateful for a few vegan items on the menu like the shepherds pie and vegan burger. Warm, friendly service with a smile.
