First time in very nice atmosphere, ordering breakfast was a challenge. Waffles no choice to add pecans. Breakfast specials only from 6am until 8am. Service was good.
I ordered the cove hash browns eggs over medium, sausage, toast instead of biscuit with the sausage gravy. You’re not allowed to change biscuit for toast.. I was told you can have biscuit and gravy or toast. So, ordered the toast instead of biscuit and gravy. Here is what happened next.
Meal came out:
Hash browns perfect
Eggs over medium came out over easy very runny, runny eggs are not for me.
Came with grits (I asked for no grits)
No sausage came out young lady had to go back to cooks and have them cook some.
So she took breakfast back got rid of the grits and brought breakfast back with the toast and added a small bowl of gravy. I thought that was very cool. Gravy by the way was excellent. However now eggs are cold and runny, toast was cold and butter layered in and wouldn’t melt at all. Still had to wait for sausage. When it came it was good. So two bites of the hash browns, had one sausage patty and the gravy which were excellent. The rest couldn’t eat! Very disappointing visit!
I imagine it would have been great if everything came out together and was hot but unfortunately it was not.
We paid the bill and took care of the young lady as it was not her fault, and left. Had to buy a second breakfast elsewhere this morning.

Excellent service and food! Whether going for breakfast or lunch we have enjoyed every visit here. We will drive out of the way to visit this restaurant. The service is always top notch and we live the atmosphere.

We arrived around 1:30 and the restaurant closes at 2:00. It took about 15 minutes before we received our drinks, and after ordering it was nearly another half hour before the food came out. There were seven of us, which I understand can affect timing, but the food arrived at different times rather than all together.
That said, the food itself was very good, and our waitress was extremely kind and courteous. She took $5 off our bill and also gave us a $5 off coupon for our next visit, which we really appreciated. Overall, great food and excellent service from our server, just a slow experience near closing time.

Our first time trying this place out, and won’t be our last. Everytime we drive by they are usually packed and for a reason.
David had the burger and fries and our waitress suggested the Ruben which I added onion rings for an unchange.
Food was really good as was the service.
I don’t suggest you go the last hour of the day as we did. We arrived at 1:10 and they close at 2:00.
One lady was more concerned with getting out on time than the customer. She broke down the drink machine and poured out the tea without asking customers if they needed a refill

Horrible experience with the manager an older blonde lady. I had my kids and my dog with me so I called ahead to make sure they had outdoor seating they said yes, no problem at all. I get all the way there, walk in and tell the lady and she says we don’t do outside seating until next week. I recounted the conversation I had on the phone thirty minutes ago and she said ” I’m the manager, I don’t care who you spoke with, and then went and yelled at the poor girl that gave me the information on the phone. I’ll obviously never go there again and you shouldn’t either.

I went for breakfast today and had a below par visit. I have been here many times before with good food and service. Today we found a sign on the door that said they were closing at 12p for the holidays. It was 1129am when we arrived. After sitting, it took 10 min before the waitress came and took our order. While waiting for the food, a young couple entered around 1145a. They sat down and then the older waitress that staff was calling “granny” went up to the couple and gave them a hard time about coming in so close to closing. The couple was very apologetic and didnt realize they were closing early. The waitress kept on them until they finally decided to leave without ordering anything. The waitresses did nothing but talk about how they could get out of the restaurant by 12p. They made you feel very rushed during the visit. “Granny” kept asking our waitress how many people were drinking coffee because she wanted to dump it and not make anymore. When the food finally arrived around 1150a, it looked like they forgot half of my skillet, the serving was so small from its usual size. To make matters worse, I asked for no green peppers and there were a ton of green peppers on it. With it being so close to closing, I just ate it since they wouldn’t have time to redo my breakfast. BTW, it was a skillet so all the ingredients were mixed together so there was no picking the peppers out which were diced. Our waitress was so focused on getting out of there that she never asked how our food was or if she could get us anything. It was a rushed, unpleasant experience. If you are going to close at 12 and do not want to seat anyone 15 min before, then lock the doors. Dont have the customers sit down and then shame them into leaving. The waitresses continued to look at us while we tried to finish our meal. It was not our fault it took them so long to finally take our order when we arrived. It appeared an older gentleman was there that might have been the owner. If I owned a business, I would not turn away customers. Seat them and have your staff serve them while you finish cleaning the place to go home. Overall, just a poor experience. We left the restaurant at 1207p.

S2S is a great place to eat. The food was delicious and the price was comparable. We had breakfast but yet the regulars raving about all the food. Service was good but was crowded so servers were busy. absolutely going back!!!

My daughter and I stopped in here after taking the long way to visit family in Orange Park. This diner is full of great people, all seemed to be happy and having a great time. The food was great! We got biscuits and gravy and hash browns with onions. The food was cooked well and served with a smile! I highly recommend this little spot on your way through the backroads of Florida!
