My family lived in Rye since my ancestors moved here from other countries. They have been an icon in the town and their food tells it all. We recently moved to upstate, and even though the pizza up here is good, it is no match for Sunrise’s!!! A dear family member brought us some this weekend and we did not realize how much we missed it!!! If you ever consider branching out, please let us know. WE MISS YOU!!!!!! Been going here since Middle/High School back in the 90’s. Always great service, the pies haven’t changed whatsoever in all that time. By far, the best pizza in Rye. Best thing, I can now enjoy it with a beer LOL (limited selection but hey, a beer is a beer). Cash only so leave your cards at home…

Everything was good just not my favorite compared to a couple of other. I’m a Sicilian pizza fan. Their version isn’t really doughy or chewy but airy and dry instead – just not my preference. But I think overall it’s a very good pizzeria.

Bad service, they talk to you like you’re an inconvenience. I asked for a Greek salad with my pizza and they never made it. Had to remind them, which they didn’t really appreciate. At least the food was ok. Definitely won’t be back
