My family loves sunrise, we’ve been coming for years. The food is great diner food at very reasonable prices. My mom and I ate there Thursday night had crab cakes and prime rib which were both delicious! Then today (Saturday) I stopped in for some dessert to go which their desserts are also pretty good but the thing about this place is the staff is always amazing. Their waitresses always have such a great up beat attitude and make you feel welcome. Even when I feel like I’m annoying them you’d never know… I’d swear they are just hospitality robots lol. Also quick shout of to the woman who helped me get my desserts tonight! I can’t remember her name but she is a sweetheart I’m glad I tipped 50% on a small take out order of dessert. If you see this and figure out who she is I got a coconut cake and choc. Strawberries. Tell her I said she’s wonderful. Can’t wait to come back for dinner.

Pretty good food I went for breakfast. Just be careful if you substitute an item that’s listed as no charge. You will get charged as the menu hasn’t been updated to reflect thr change in pricing. Also side of bacon only 2 strips..

Sunrise Diner is a classic American diner located on South 4th Street in Allentown, offering a familiar mix of comfort food and community charm. It’s open every day from 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM.
I was in the area and craving diner food, and I’d never had the chance to check this place out before. It seemed like the perfect time to stop in.
I started with a bowl of the homemade chicken noodle soup, filled with thick egg noodles, chicken, and the usual carrots, celery, and parsley in a clear broth. The noodles were a bit over-soft for my taste, but it still delivered that familiar, comforting diner flavor.
After the soup, I went with a Reuben wrap and French fries. The fries were hot and crispy, but the wrap itself fell a bit flat. The corned beef was underseasoned, and it could have used more Russian dressing, though asking for some extra on the side helped a bit.
All in all, everything was fairly average. I wouldn’t go out of my way to visit, but if I were in the area, I’d consider stopping in to try something else.

Sunrise diner is a nice local diner. I ve been here many times for breakfast, brunch, and late feel good food after bars close. Breakfast is always good and reasonably priced although it tends to be crowded. I had brunch here today not to crowded and service was good. Food was excellent for everyone in my group. Typical diner look and atmosphere. Place is clean and lots of parking.

I’ve visited this place twice, and both times, the food was excellent—except for the ribs, which were a bit too sweet for my taste. I would have preferred something more savory. The dinner includes a nice variety of salads and soups offered in a buffet with every meal. The food tastes homemade, making it a great choice if you’re looking for a proper meal instead of fast food, all at a reasonable price. Plus, the ambience was fantastic, adding to the overall enjoyable dining experience.

Great food, great steaks, all around loved it here! The people were really nice who worked there. Fast service, fast food wait time (cooking time) and they even had soup and salad bar (also had gloves as you serve yourself to ensure safety.

Unfortunately we did not have a good experience with the food at this location. I had the French Dip sandwich, which was advertised as prime rib. It was frozen sliced beef and unbelievably dry. My daughter had a panini, which, while filled with cheese, was also very dry. The staff are great and the service is fantastic but the food really lets it down, we won’t be returning.
