We decided to try this little restaurant out. I was excited because the food looked so good. We sat down and immediately a roach climbed the table. I flicked it away hoping it was just a random occurrence. Halfway through my plate there was another roach on my arm and another one trying to climb my friends plate. I looked around and noticed 2 more on the floor. I called the owner over and she looked and blamed it in the heat outside. I told her we were done and she only offered a 15% discount. I called the health inspector as well. Will not be back!

The restaurant was clean and the staff were friendly. The restrooms were clean, but they only were single occupancy, so every time I tried to go (until right before we left), there was a wait. The food was hot and fresh, but there are really only 3 things I truly like at a Chinese buffet (crab ragoons, honey chicken, and coconut chicken) and they didn’t have any of those. The sesame chicken was okay, but it had these hard, fibrous things in it that about broke my tooth. It’s was approximately $43 for the three of us to eat, with sodas, and the rest of my party was thrilled with the variety.

Ugh. We stopped in on our way home thinking it can’t be too bad.. a lot of the food from the buffet was cold. The lo mein noodles were just buttered noodles. Most of the chicken was inedible, with weird textures and funny colors. The egg drop soup was warm, yellow-colored water. The floors were so slick I almost fell. If I could, I’d give zero stars. I payed $30 for 6 bites of food taken. The best part of the restaurant was when I left.

honestly, i do not know why this place has so many bad reviews, Sunrise Buffet was completely nice for a small town Chinese restaurant! staff was exceptionally friendly and very polite. food was great and prices were not bad. i would like to especially recognize the mother and daughter (i hope that’s correct) they were super sweet and communicated more with us, but it’s because the others were busy working. all together, a nice place to eat 🙂
