I had their Hungry Man’s Trash Can, which is an omelet with everything, including the tastiest bacon south of the Maxon Dixon line. East of the Mississipp. $16. The little lady had a big $10 breakfast. Crazy low prices, but keep it here please for the next time I have the pleasure of a trip to Lexington.
The breakfast is outstanding. Since the bill was so low, we added some baked apples and some grits with a little extra pocket change. As sure as the sun shines, this will be the only place I ever have breakfast within 30 miles of this location. OUTSTANDING. The omelet was perfect. The hostess didn’t mess around. The waitress was prompt. The old folks improved an already great atmosphere. Reminds you of grandma and grandpa were you so lucky to have a normal American childhood.
Absolutely my favorite part of Lexington. Go there, eat in comfort and enjoy.
As for the breakfast we had eggs benedict, pancakes, breakfast burrito and they were all great. The service was impeccable the wait staff was all over the cleaning of tables and keeping people moving in and out.
The place was pretty much packed when we walked in and we had a very short wait but by the time we sat down there were at least 20 people waiting to get in the door.
Would definitely come back again. Minor little note, they charge a 2% square fee on your bill even if you don’t pay with a credit card. Not crazy about that I think that should only be if you’re using a credit card.
The service was wildly lackluster, definitely gave the vibe none of the waitresses wanted to be there. The lack of customer service reflected that, no refills asked about, no small talk, not even a smile.
The brisket meat in the quesadilla was also very bland and besides a solid crunch, the whole thing was so underwhelming I threw half of it away. For $15+ tax and tip… do not recommend.
