The food was amazing. We both got the waffle with chicken tenders and a side of hash browns and it is exactly what we envisioned it to be. Tender, juicey …

Disappointed, my plate came out luke-warm and I sent it back. First time in my life I returned food, but breakfast is really important to me! Waitress not happy. It was a Saturday and they were busy, but dang-it, my breakfast! She finally refilled my coffee which saved her tip, they were just too busy and pushing to flip tables. It didn’t feel like anyone wanted to be there working. Cooking crew had stacked up bacon, hash browns onto an unused griddle which was why they weren’t fresh. There’s better food at waffle house, I was underwhelmed.

I have been to Sunny Side Up only about 5 times. I have to say I have never been disappointed in the food, service or cleanliness of this fine diner. I was just there yesterday and had the privilege of watching the cooks in action. They are a fine tuned machine. What was especially impressive was how well they maintained the cleanliness of their stations. If there was a short break in the action, they were cleaning. The same for the wait staff. They kept the restaurant cleaned up and did a good job of wiping off the tables after every customer. What was especially nice to see was a team of young people working so hard to make a difficult business succeed. I highly recommend Sunny Side Up for breakfast and lunch. Their burgers are the best.

The food was all right. We definitely had better. The service our waitress could use some improvement. I don’t know if our waitress was distracted because she had a large party and us but to me if another waitress from another table has to ask you would you like water or something to drink after being seated for several minutes and still haven’t met your own waitress? I think that’s an indication of a service problem. Since it was quite a delay in meeting our waitress and giving our order, I can’t really say if the food comes out quickly or slowly compared to other restaurants. In conclusion, I probably will not return since there are other eateries in the area that are ranked just as high as this breakfast nook.

There were a lot of options to choose from. We were pretty satisfied with our selections, the food was cooked to order and hot. The omelet could have been fluffier and the salmon was dry but overall it was good.

I came to this restaurant yesterday morning in the attempt to have breakfast. I get to the door and there is a sign hanging there that says “sorry for the inconvenience but we ran out of coffee”….this is simply unacceptable! You are a breakfast restaurant….I would guess that at least 80% of your customers are going to want a cup of coffee to go with their meal. And this is the cherry on top….the restaurant is literally right next door to a Publix grocery store!!! If you run out of coffee, simply walk next door and buy more! In the time it took you to grab a piece of paper, pen, write the note and tape it to the door, you could have already been in the coffee isle at Publix buying more for your customers. Bottom line, as soon as I saw that note, I turned right around and walked away. If the management at this restaurant is that incompetent, I figured not having coffee would be the least of my problems if I had actually sat down. I ended up having a great breakfast down the road at the Waffle House!

Food was ok. We wouldn’t go out of our way to eat there again, but if we were in the area and wanted a hot breakfast, we would eat it again. Typical diner, but not much flavor. Had waffles, eggs, grits. Bacon was nice and crispy. Enjoyed the 80s music.

Place was busy so we hoped for a good local experience. Omelette was decent but hash browns were undercooked and tasted like old grill grease. Coffee was gray not brown and even after we asked for fresh was still very bad. Waffle House would be an improvement!!
