Tigra “Tiggy”
I ordered the Southwest Salad; added tempeh and garlic aioli. The salad was good but nothing extraordinary or memorable. It’s definitely a salad that you can make at home.
The Sweet Potato Casserole was disappointingly bland. It lacked both flavor and sweetness, unfortunately.
The Collard Greens were actually very good! From what I tasted at the cafe, these were the best.
The cafe itself has a very welcoming aesthetic. There was a man who welcomed me as soon as I entered. He was very nice and helpful. There was a salt and pepper haired woman who had an extremely unpleasant and unwelcoming attitude. I even asked a question and she ignored me. So believe those reviewers who speak on this.
There’s a large covered patio in the front of the restaurant, regular inside seating, and a smaller uncovered patio in the rear.
I was really hoping to have a better experience here. Maybe I just ordered the wrong things, but nothing made me want to give them another chance.

My wife and I began dating in 2014 and her being a vegan we started coming here. We’ve come here from them, through marriage, and through 4 children, and this place has consistently been excellent the entire time. I’m not a vegan and typically given the choice I won’t choose to go to a vegan restaurant but Sunflower is the exception. I’ve literally never had a bad meal here. My particular favorites are the tahini tofu bowl or anything with the soy BBQ. The chocolate chip cookie dough parfait is one of my favorite desserts in the city and it’s a minor disaster when they run out (rare). The service is always excellent and the restaurant and the restrooms are always clean. Convenient location to a lot of parts of town, as well. It’s also reasonably priced, we typically spend around $10 per person on average (albeit our kids are young).

I was pleasantly surprised by this vegetarian restaurant. The burgers were amazing, juicy, and full of flavor, definitely better than I expected. The staff were really friendly and made the whole experience even better. It’s not often you find a place where the food and service both impress, but this one did. I’ll definitely be coming back to try more from their menu.

This place was excellent. I am not a vegan. The “famous” bbq sandwich is famous for a reason. Out of this world flavors- maybe as good or better than many bbq pork/beef sandwiches I have had.

come to Sunflower Cafe very often and I really enjoy it. The food is pretty good overall. My favorite is the spinach wrap, it tastes very clean and pure. Their lasagna is also good, although a lot of times when I come specifically for the lasagna, it’s already sold out. The staff are very nice and friendly, and I also love that they take care of the two cats living outside.

Not very good. Too much vegan queso and they stuffed my sante fe bowl in a very small container. Potatoes were also under cooked and large cuts. Second time trying this location and will probably be my last.

I recently dined here, and it was an absolute delight! The food was simply incredible—bursting with flavor, fresh, and beautifully presented. Every dish I tried was a testament to how delicious vegan cuisine can be. The service was impressively quick, and the staff was friendly and attentive, making the experience even better. Awesome! I can actually go out to eat again… Their menu had plenty of options for me. I was pleased with the taste of the Root wrap and the textures were perfect. I liked the creaminess of the sweet potato casserole, good flavor as well. And finally, the jalapeño veggie burger was stacked well with condiments adding to the already delicious patty. Great representation by the staff on duty, they were able to answer all of my questions about the Soy-free items.
