The place has a nice refine vibe to it. My waiter/bartender Doug was cool. Food was alright… I give it a 4 out of 5. Steak was over cooked in my opinion as I ordered a medium rare and came out as a medium to medium well… Slight pink so it came out dry…. The scallops was great and mash potatoes was good. The fried oysters was delicious but was looking for some raw oysters and they didn’t have.

Sundae’s Cafe on Tybee Island is an absolute gem! From start to finish, the experience was exceptional. We began with the Apricot Demi–glazed fried green tomatoes topped with balsamic reduction and feta cheese—a delicious and unexpected twist on a Southern classic that set the tone for the evening.
For dinner, I had the special crab-stuffed flounder served with Brussels sprouts and collards, and it was outstanding. Each dish had its own unique flavor profile, clearly crafted with creativity and care, and every bite left us wanting more.
Sundae’s Cafe offers a memorable dining experience that will definitely have you coming back again and again. Reservations are highly recommended—and for good reason!

This was one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. Everything we ordered was delicious, the calamari is a must. The burger and the seafood were very good. I have to say, the banana cream cheesecake was to die for, best dessert I’ve ever had. The service was great and so were the drinks. I already can’t wait to come back

Wow; that is all I had to say leaving the Sundae Cafe. Seriously, some of the most exceptional food I have had in YEARS. We started with complementary homemade biscuits and peach jam, which were warm, delicious and the jam I would’ve taken home in a jar if I could’ve. The crab stuffed flounder was to die for, like completely blew my mind, the hot honey jerk shrimp was potentially my favorite shrimp I’ve had and the scallops were cooked beautifully, and tasted incredibly fresh and delicious. For dessert, we had a chocolate cake with fudge icing, which was phenomenal. Our server, Crystal, was a total doll, and the atmosphere was wonderful, especially given that this is located next to a damn liquor store and corner store! We will absolutely be back, and would give this 6 stars if we could. Don’t miss this gem while on Tybee! A place truly worth the price of admission (something I rarely find myself saying here).

Amazing restaurant! Great service great food great atmosphere! We drove an hour plus from Hilton head just to celebrate my mother’s birthday with a great dinner and sundae cafe did not disappoint! We got apps a special fish offering, shrimp and grits, lemon cake and peach donut bread pudding… everything was delicious! Thank you so much for another great dinner experience! Highly recommended.

So far this is the best restaurant I’ve been to on Tybee.
Amazing food and atmosphere that you would have never expected from a gas station location.
Pimento cheese balls were to die for, one of the best crab cakes I’ve ever had, ribeye was good but was honestly outshined by the sides.
My only regret was not getting dessert.

If I could give more than 5 stars I would. The food is exquisite. The steaks are perfection. The best meal we’ve had in our entire stay in Georgia. This is a hidden gem. , from the atmosphere to the wait staff. I will not stop singing your praises. Good job Sundae Cafe.

Sundae Cafe at Tybee was absolutely fabulous! I made the reservation online trusting others reviews about the place. I was a bit skeptical that it is in a gas station parking lot, kind of limited parking but the moment we were seated (sat at the bar by choice) the bar tender was friendly and made fabulous coctails and was attentive and timely taking our food orders. Then the food!!! OMG just fantastic. We ordered the Filet and Ribeye Steak dinners and were not dissapointed at all- highly recommend! Cooked perfectly both steaks, side options were cool local options and exceptional flavor as well. We finished with a flourless chocolate cake. Personally I think this place is a “cant miss” if you are visiting Tybee Island. It is a smaller venue and it is RESERVATION ONLY but dont let that deter you!! GO for sure if you can.
