Ched Sters
Great food and service, but a major scheduling letdown
I was a few days into my Los Cabos trip and wanted a change from my usual spot. Sun Japanese Premium Ramen definitely delivered on food and service. The food was excellent—noodles on point—and I even loved the side of white rice. Their margarita was also magical and tasty.
The server (who seemed to handle all tables alone) was friendly and efficient. I also appreciated seeing a staff member walk the cute pit bull, though its initial loud barking at the entrance was a little jarring.
I enjoyed it so much that I returned the next day. Unfortunately, that’s where things fell short. Despite their advertised 2 p.m. opening, the server informed me they wouldn’t open until 3 p.m. I had taken an Uber from a distance, and seeing the owner casually walk in without acknowledgment felt dismissive and left a bad taste. I understand things happen, but not managing guest expectations—especially when someone travels to visit—is a significant miss.
I ended up eating next door, where the meal was two-thirds the cost and still satisfying.
Great food and warm service when open, but the unannounced closure and lack of consideration really impacted the experience.
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐ (due to the reliability issue)

A rare gem in a fast paced tourist area. It is not in popular tourist jam packed, tucked away in the residential area. The owner crafted each dish, reminded me when visiting Japan. The ramen soup base is cooked for a long time, with rich flavor. The texture is al dente. The owner ‘s dog is calm and friendly!

This is the best ramen I’ve ever eaten anywhere. I’m from Hawaii and I’m Japanese and this is the real deal. The chef is from Japan and he brought something special to Los Cabos. This is a hidden gem. If you don’t try it, you’re missing out.

I will say…. I didn’t expect this level of ramen nor the attention to detail to be available in Cabo. I knew we were in for something special as soon as our edamame hit the wok. No wait. Easy menu. Chef on site ensuring perfection. Tried the traditional ramen, veggie noodles, gyoza, and edamame. All were top notch by any standard. Don’t skip this spot if you’ve had enough tacos or seafood and it’s time for something tasty. If I’m back in Cabo, this is my first stop for sure.

While traveling, I was craving Asian food and after much consideration, I decided to visit this restaurant. It was absolutely worth the time I spent choosing—it was incredibly delicious. The ramen, in particular, was crafted with care and tasted just like something you’d find in its country of origin. The staff were also very friendly, which made the dining experience even more pleasant.

Best Ramen/Sushi place I had since my last visit to Japan. This is by far the closest experience you can have to a Japanese Ramen place.
Food is delicious and the owner is extremely nice and welcoming.
To some locals the price might be higher than usual but it is premium food for a reason.
Worth it!

The best Japanese restaurant in Baja without fear of mistake. We certainly feel excited for what we are about to eat and drink every time we visit this place. Food and Sake selection are heavenly.
