Low-key eatery on a deck of the Hotel del Coronado, dishing up local & global fare, plus cocktails.

Sun Deck at Coronado Beach is a great place for lunch or dinner. Dinner can be a little cold if you sit outside, but the service is good. The food is nothing extraordinary, but it is solid and enjoyable. The hummus is excellent. And the view is what truly makes the place special. Overall, it is a place I definitely recommend.

Decided on the Sun Deck for a small bite before an evening wedding I was in town for. Very impressed by the cook on the fish. Resort prices but I would say worth it for the wahoo El Pastor sandwich and the passionfruit margarita. The fries are crispy and the view incredible beautiful view of the ocean from the bar if you sit on the east side facing west. I was here during the day, but I bet the sunset is fantastic.

Great dinner at the Sun Deck in Coronado! Such a relaxing and tropical vibe, and incredibly stunning with the Hotel Del Coronado decorated for the holidays. A lot of dog friendly seating, perfect for any size group and great if you want to stay for a long time. Excellent, friendly, and quick service. We enjoyed the grilled wahoo al pastor sandwich and spicy Baja grilled shrimp. The drinks were great, we had the autumn bird and hotel del colada. Recommend!

This burger is AMAZING. Get it for breakfast, lunch and dinner, that’s how good it was. Our server Tara was absolutely fantastic, walked us through the menu and told us everything we NEEDED to get. Can not recommend Hotel Del and the Sun Deck more. Even better if you get Tara as your server.

Had a lovely dinner here after visiting Coronado for the day on a San Diego business trip. It was just getting dark and they had the fire pits on around our table to add to the atmosphere. I had the double cheeseburger, which was pretty nice. Hope to come back and stay at the hotel some time.

Sat down at the Sun Deck bar and great experience. Ordered an Aperol Spritz and kinda small portions but great taste. Beautiful view and Hunter the bartender was friendly.

The lounge areas facing the beach have a $175 minimum and a 2 hour maximum. Parties of 6 or more have a gratuity automatically added according to the menu. We were a party of 5 and sat ourselves at a lounge area with a fire pit on a lovely, warm February day. We waited for a long time for service, ordered non- alcohol drinks and then waited forever to order our food. We started to get up and go to the taco stand on the beach when the waitress came and took our order. Then we waited and waited for the food. I believe we were there for 2 hours before getting food and only got one drink. The burger and fries were cold. Not even just luke warm, but cold. The Asian salad was good, the shrimp bowl was good. It was pricey and the gratuity was added automatically to the charges, paid $247

Wonderful holiday experience with friends. Ice skating rink nearby, great evening view of festive lights . Welcoming for adults and kids. Great date night. Open seating, not rushed, and great service. Drinks and food service was prompt, albeit a little pricey, but worth the special atmosphere. After dinner stroll enjoying the decor, happy kids, and beach bonfires .Thank you Hotel Del !

We ordered from the kids’ menu, along with dessert and non-alcoholic beverages. Unfortunately, the bread and cheese were cold and not tasty. Additionally, the plate and utensils were not clean, and we even noticed a small hair on them.
The view was nice, though I should mention that the construction nearby took away from the experience. And had to request plastic utensils set
