Ambience is beautiful! It’s dimly lit with warm lighting. Thai tea was perfect and the tea was strong! We ordered the Pad See Ew and Spicy Fried Rice. Both dishes were $~20 each. I would give each dish 4 star.

There are so many Vietnamese restaurants lined up along Westminster Blvd, but I picked this one since it had a good rating and was close to where I needed to be. From the name, you can tell it’s a Thai–Japanese fusion spot.

The place is pretty spacious, and they have a weekday lunch special for $13.95. Most regular dishes are around $13–$17, which is quite reasonable. My friends and I tried the Vietnamese spring rolls ($14.95), Pad Thai ($14.95), fried rice ($14.95), and Thai iced tea ($4), all the basic comfort picks.

The male server didn’t ask who ordered what, just set everything on the table, which felt a bit casual but fine. Overall, the food was okay and I would say it’s more of an Asian flavor profile that seems to cater to Western taste buds.

We ordered Pad Thai, Pad Med Mamuang (Cashew Nut with Beef), and Thai Iced Tea — everything was delicious. The noodles weren’t overcooked, and the seasoning was well balanced. The interior has a nice atmosphere too. Overall, highly recommended!

To be honest, ive ordered from this thai restaurant a few times before and the food was always pretty good but im not sure what happened this time. The pad thai was so dry, the meat was very dry and chewy, it was so disappointing! The papaya salad was so small and they added like 2 shrimps and some tiny dry shrimps that tasted very old! So im not sure if ill order from here again 🙁

Frequent customer of this place. I always feel welcomed every time I’m here. They just opened a sushi bar so I want to post a review with some pictures! I think the sushi is worth it for the price. I got the baked lobster and salmon sushi rolls. My favorite food that I get every time are pad Thai chicken and pad woon sen beef. The prices have increased a couple of dollars since 2023 but the food quality has not gone down at all!

This is a TAKEOUT ORDER review. It’s expensive but still worth it because it’s convenient, food is great, and portions are a decent size. Takeout portion size is probably less than dine in portions, based on the pics I saw. But still enough for you to be full. Food was ready in 30 minutes. I called at 5pm on Thursday.

Online order & pickup is probably an easier way to do it. Hard to communicate on the phone. Hard to pronounce food items and she did not speak English fluently. She was very friendly, though.

I was happy with most of my food. Delicious and not too oily. Good, strong flavors.

BUT I was disappointed that the garlic pepper pork had barely any, only a tiny amount of sauce. BUT the pork was still delicious. Kinda sweet and crispy. But I’m sure more sauce would make it even better!

Another disappointment was the spicy drunken noodles. It barely had any tomatoes or fresh basil. Just some very small pieces of both. I still liked it but wish there were more of both those things. Also, medium spicy level was too spicy for me.

The SUMRAN TOM YUM GOONG (soup bowl) was an ok size and delicious. 4 big shrimp! But EXTREMELY SPICY. I like the strong tom yum flavor and strong LIME flavor. But too spicy and salty for me. Also, it has milk in it, which is kinda weird to me, but you barely taste it.

If you’re not sure, try low spicy level, because medium spicy was too intense for me. Well, everyone is different and what you would consider spicy is subjective. but for context, I have a low to medium tolerance for spicy food, usually. This is the kind of spicy that sometimes makes you cough like crazy.

Also got Thai tea and fried bananas with ice cream. They were good. The Thai coffee is good but VERY bitter and strong. Kinda like Vietnamese coffee, a lot of caffeine.

The quality of the food is impressive, with dishes like Pad Thai, Duck Curry, Tom Yum Fried Rice, and Papaya Salad receiving high praise for their authentic taste and perfect spice levels. Customers also appreciate the generous portions and the reasonable pricing considering the quality. Overall, Sumran Thai Cuisine is a top choice in Stanton for anyone craving delicious Thai cuisine paired with warm and efficient service.

Absolutely recommend eating here. All of the food I’ve tried is truly incredible, and all other Thai restaurants pale in comparison.
The Crying Tiger Steak is a particular wonderful dish that I’d highly recommend, the dipping sauce is out of this world.
The Naked Shrimp is so good. The Shrimp fried rice is amazing, get it with a level of spice added and you’ll be in heaven.
Basically all the food here is amazing and 100/10 do recommend, you won’t be disappointed.

Friendly and helpful service, an expansive menu selection, satisfactory wait time, absolutely delicious Sumran special sushi rolls + pad thai, and a cozy atmosphere. Highly recommend- with the flavours tasting authentic and rich.

The lunch special package were also really thoughtful; with salad, sauces, miso soup, sushi and utensils all neatly packed and sealed.

I enjoyed the appetizer fish cake here. The bowl of shrimp Tom yum was great with 4 plump shrimp. My pad see ew with beef was very flavorful! My partner got a spicy crispy pork dish with rice.

I did not enjoy the skewerless beef satay, flavor was good but meat was a bit tough. I’d pass or get chicken next time.
