Service was great from the start—staff was ready to take our order right away and happily gave us a little extra time since it was our first visit. The menu has a ton of great options, but we ended up going with the all-you-can-eat sushi rolls after asking a few questions and getting some really helpful answers.
I started with the stuffed jalapeño appetizer, which was very good. Every roll we tried was excellent. We sampled a wide range—from spicy to savory—and enjoyed all of them. Everything tasted fresh and well made.
We’ll definitely be back to try more items. I’m a big fan of sashimi and am looking forward to exploring those options next time.
Food and service were both 10/10. Can’t wait to come back.

Been here a few times but decided to leave a review today. Did two of the 3 for $40 roll combos. We got 2 best friend rolls, a fire pearl, a crazy Joe, a three amigos, and a Tokyo roll. All of them were very good. Fish is always fresh, all the fried rolls are perfectly fried. I don’t normally care for yellowtail, but the yellowtail on the three amigos roll was very very good. The restaurant itself is clean and super cute. Service was great, and the server was super sweet and helpful when I had a couple questions. I had the house hot sake previously and I did enjoy it. Already thinking about when I can come back lol

I’ve heard some bad reputation about Sumo Sushi being a mediocre chain sushi restaurant. However, I’m happy to say this Sumo Sushi in Bonney Lake is phenomenal!
Service was attentive and friendly. Our server was kind enough to give us time to peruse the menu and periodically checking in on us.
Everything that we got from the appetizers to the actual sushi rolls were all fresh and tasty! You can’t go wrong with any of the sushi, appetizer, or sashimi/nigiri. The price is very reasonable and won’t break the bank.
I’d be happy to return here if I’m in the area and crave some good Japanese food. Yummy!

Menu needs reworking. It’s not friendly for those who are not familiar with Japanese terms. Someone may not know what donburi is, what yakisoba is, or what udon is. There are not descriptions. The bigger issue was the Ramen is not in the main menu. It’s on a smaller menu on the edge of the table. And the biggest issue was we looked at the pictures of the Ramen and wanted the creamy soup Ramen which was written as shoyu ramen. We ordered that and it came as a soy sauce based soup. I expressed my concern that I received the wrong item and the waitress said that that is the shoyu Ramen and when I showed her the menu and that it has a picture of creamy soup Ramen she said that they must have messed up the menu. That was that. I believe I should have been offered a replacement but I didnt push for it either.
The otoro tuna belly was great, and everything else we ordered was very delicious.

My spouse and I celebrated our birthdays here after our son invited us, and it was unforgettable. The food was incredibly fresh, beautifully prepared, and honestly some of the best sushi we’ve ever had.

Have been here a few times now. It’s nice to have a place that has a variety of menu items for different tastes including vegetarian. Prices for specials on sushi is pretty good (especially the all you can eat which you do not have to sit at the bar to enjoy), and I was pleasantly surprised that they would take avocado off (I’m allergic).
Their rolls tend to be a little on the thicker side FYI.
This is also a great place for dining alone. They are very attentive and offer quick service!

We are so happy Sumo Sushi came to Bonney Lake! We love that we no longer have to leave the area to find fantastic sushi. The service is amazing, food is fantastic and beautiful when it comes to your table. Hands down best place in the area. Keep up the great work!!

Ordered a to go order and was excited to try a new place. The photos compared to what was given to us is actually concerning. All of our rolls were topped with the fake crab meat and this white sauce that wasn’t shown in all of the photos. One roll had fish bones in it. They were all missing the literal pieces of fish that go on top of the rolls. The ramen I received was decent but not even what I ordered. This place is a huge waste of money. $100 for this junk. Look at the online photos vs what we received.. never again. The Fred Meyer sushi is better than this.
