A tiny, extremely unassuming place in a quiet location, but the quality of the food is outstanding. Fresh, delicious and beautifully presented. Highly recommend for a quiet meal if you’re not looking for a hyped up posh surroundings, but authentic high quality sushi.

Kichi is a must when visiting Potsdam. The restaurant is small and unassuming with a smaller menu, but great quality fish, reasonable prices, and friendly customer service. I was visiting for a short weekend and originally went to Chi Keng, but left after being seated and no one came to ask us if we wanted to order or even have drinks. Also Chi Keng is WAY overpriced.
Kichi is the place to go! But just a small note: ventilation in the restaurant is not the best so you will leave with the smell of food in your clothes and hair, which is why I deducted one star. Otherwise, I will definitely go back again and again!

One of the worst sushi pieces I’ve ever had.
The rice is not fresh at all, and the pieces also not. I ordered a maki menu and it arrived in literally less than five minutes, in a way that it would have been impossible to have been freshly prepared. The tuna coloring was a bit off too, probably from the freezer not being as cold as should be. Again, the rice was the worst. Super soggy and weird taste. Service was nice though and I’m sorry to leave such a negative review. Maybe they could improve it as sushi is really not the type of food that can be left pre-prepared in such a manner.

Was visiting this restaurant on the trip in Potsdam. I cannot complain at anything. Sushi is totally fresh and full. The sushi rolls are bigger than other restaurants in comparison. The chef always smiles that made me feel warm and friendly. Would recommend this to any who wanna try sushi in Potsdam

We visited this place following the trip advisor’s recommendations. However, we were left overly disappointed by the taste/quality of food as well as the service.
Among others, we ordered Udon soup, a variety of sushi and a rice bowl.
– Makis were all open, the taste of all the food we ordered could be named as “tasteless”.
– The order arrived very quickly (with about 5 minutes intervals) that left us wondering that food was pre-prepared.
– Service was terrible: The lady with an angry face served our table and instead of putting dishes on the table she was handing them.
Absolute NO. Save yourself by avoiding this place.
