Feels like a snow lodge, so thats good. The fries and food definitely dont taste as good as we paid. Had to ask them for better fries because even though they looked good you bit into it and was super hard. The French dip and Philly cheesesteak where just thrown together. Feels like a guy putting together food and following a instruction book. The side of onion rings burnt and the Mac n cheese cold.
We tried to ask the lady to get it off the bill because we just didnt like it.
Also we literally waited 10 min after getting seated down to get drinks then after she left we didnt see her for 10 more min. They weren’t that busy either wich made it more upsetting .when trying to come to a reasonable conclusion and it was very difficult and we left the food on the table. Definitely not comming back also water was tap

Its an older place, but not very busy off season (ski season). Service was fast and on top of it. Food came out quickly and was good. I had the combo breakfast, my son had the fruit french toast. But were very good. My over easy eggs were perfect. Gravy was good, lots of pepper, I didn’t need to add any.

Wow. Where to start. There wasn’t anything even remotely acceptable. I haven’t had a meal this bad in…well, this was the worst I can remember. We were the only customers, and I see why. Dirty dishes on one table through much of our meal. And then instead of cleaning the table, it was “dusted” with a dry cloth. Not sanitized. When we got up to leave, we noticed crumbs on almost all the tables.

Now. To the food. I ordered the classic turkey sandwich, the old diner fare, open faced with turkey gravy and mash. And the menu said it included soup or salad. I forgot. Neither was offered. It is hard to screw this sandwich up, but boy was this bad. Turkey was re-fried and dry. Thin brittle slices. Very little gravy on exceptionally dry toast. And two pieces of toast, so the concept of “open face” was lost. And for some inexplicable reason, they were cut in half.

Potatoes were reheated paste with a little dab of gravy. And again, no offer of soup or salad.

Which is fine with me, my wife ordered teriyaki. Almost no sauce and the chicken was cooked to the point she was picking rocks off the side. The rice was not fresh, microwaved to make it sort of warm.

And the “salad.” Vegetables were clearly cut days ago. Dry. One cucumber slice was rotted when she turned it over and…

…not a drop or any dressing. Raw rotting vegetables.

We have been coming here off and on for years and will never come back.

Oh, and when we were served food without silverware, the response to “we need silverware” was “I know.” It was too much trouble to ensure that we had silverware before being served the worst meals we can remember.

And never checked back, taking on the phone the entire time. And we think he didn’t check back because anyone who has ever eaten would see that what they brought us was too expensive if it were being given away for free.

Horrible. Truly.

Fun drive. Beautiful snowcapped peaks around. Good food too, generous portions and decently priced. Can’t complain!

I have driven past this place for years and had occasion to stop today for breakfast. I should’ve skipped it.

Pros:
– Food arrived quickly.
– Food was good, not great, but typical, adequate, as expected, and standard fare for a pancake house. Food was actually 3.5 stars, but I rounded up.
– Pancakes fluffy and both the bacon and hash browns were pleasantly crispy.
– Prices typical (everything is overpriced now) – not really a “pro”.

Cons:
– The place is quite dated, but I don’t mind if it is clean. It wasn’t. The table wasn’t clean and I can see why after watching the busing routine.
– Took a bit to get seated, no big deal. Once seated and confirmed I wanted coffee, I was essentially forgotten. When I was finally noticed by the same server, the coffee was ignored and I was pushed to order. I had to ask for coffee again as I ordered my food.
– After the food came, that’s the last I saw of the server. No coffee refill offered. Dirty plates sat for 30 min. after I finished eating, while I waited on the check. I finally had to get up and walk to the front to get/pay my check and leave… pissed off.

I LOOOOOOVE the pancakes here, idk what mix they use but it’s prepared perfectly and tastes great every time. Portion sizes are perfect, I feel full but I never have to take leftovers home.

Very good. I don’t eat crepes very often but these were excellent. Especially with the Lingdonberry jam and Lingdonberry butter.

I’ve been meaning to go here for a while, and it paid off! Their pancakes must be made from some corn meal mixture because they are not only delicious but light, fluffy, and have a yellowish hue to them. Hashnrowns were seasoned nicely, bacon actually tasted how I remembered my grandma making it so that just seems like homemade to me. Or Grandma works there and I had no idea. Service is spectacular, we stayed there for about an hour and never felt rushed to leave which I like, especially at a place like that where we went after a hike to relax.

Overall love the place now, I will recommend this to anyone driving over the pass or wants a nice spot to eat after skiing or hiking.

The pancakes tasted like fish and they were the worst pancakes I’ve ever had. Usually pancakes are a safe bet but I was proven wrong. Server was polite. I was the only person in the resturant and the server was right there so I ate enough to not get in an akward conversation why I didn’t eat my food. Not worth it though. Price they charge you would expect they have to hike the ingredients up the hill themselves.
