Hidden away gem. Super nice service. Freshly prepared food. Learned about Japanese cuisine as we didn’t know what most of the menu items were, but we made no bad choices. Nice to sit and chat and try a large amount of plates. Almost like a tapas atmosphere.

We came in for dinner. We ordered a lot of food. Everything is very good. My favorite was the tofu and sake! This place is genuine authentic Japanese. Next time I will try karaoke here. Highly recommended for anyone looking for an authentic Japanese experience.

I went with several friends – got a private karaoke room ($35) and we were there for probably 4 hours. Food, drinks, lousy singing. Fantastic time. Several of the people I was with like coming here because they say it’s as authentic as you can get in the USA. They spend a couple of months a year in Japan and actually speak Japanese, so we had them order food, drinks, etc. because they knew the best items, They’ve been here a few times.
Everything was amazing and FRESH. Scallops, Tuna, Octopus, Squid, chicken, hot edamame, Hot Saki, Japanese whiskey, Plum Wine – I tried all that and more. Service was quick and attentive, and the room has its own AC unit – after a few hours of drinking and singing it can get hot – so it came in handy.
The Karaoke is authentic as well in Japanese with English translations. I’d call this a hidden gem – something I would not expect to find in a suburban strip mall.

I came across a good restaurant for lunch where I can get hamburg steak and curry in Japanese style. It was served with a small salad, miso-soup and white rice. There are free refills of white rice. I love this place because it has a calm and relaxing atmosphere.

My girlfriend and I came here to reserve a meal for our two year anniversary and were delighted to have been treated to an excellent curated menu from the chef of the cafe. It was quite possibly the best meal I have ever had in my entire life. Each course was carefully crafted and the owner himself explained each dish with care and explained the pairing between the dish and sake. It was pure magic. The entire evening was a blast. It was an intimate setting, with incredible fresh and a well crafted meal. I will be returning, and not soon enough. We will probably make this a regular spot considering how great the food and service was.

Atmosphere is super cool in here. Like you were transported to a little evening cafe in Japan with jazz. Food is great, though costs can add up quickly.

A great find! Dishes are quite different than typical Japanese restaurant menu items, maybe a bit intimidating if you aren’t familiar with the ingredients or style of cooking but rewarding for the curious or adventurous. Definitely coming back.
