We got 2 Masala Chai’s with steamed oatmilk; delicious! You can get them sweetened or unsweetened. The Chai was deliciously spiced.
The atmosphere is rich and cozy with warm colors and textures and unique comfortable seating. The building is fascinating with an area that has a circular stairway and 2 story ceiling.
They serve food as well, although we only had the Chai.
The person behind the counter was sweet and so helpful walking me through all the elixer options.
They have a lot of outdoor sidewalk seating as well.
I definitely recommend stopping by!
This time, the baristas were loudly talking to each other, about how their monthly cycles had apparently synced up- not really fun to listen to while waiting to eat. Apparently, their conversation was so engrossing that the girl who took my order forgot to put my food in the oven.
After patiently waiting for 5 minutes after I got my drink (it WAS busy, and I didn’t mind), the other girl asked if I was waiting for something else. When I said my two croissants- I watched her check the empty oven, then go to the first barista and ask if she did the order. First girl said no, and I watched the second girl put my order in the oven. She tells me it’ll be just a few minutes. THIS IS ALL FINE, as I mentioned- it was busy.
What wasn’t fine was 5 more minutes later, when the second girl called me up for my order, and said “sorry for the wait- our oven was acting up.”
GIRL, NO. I saw what happened. It’s a tiny coffee shop- do not have the gall to lie to my face when I’ve been less than 5 feet away from the counter the entire time.
Tl;dr- Awful customer service, please train your staff to do better.
