Japanese Ramen Restaurant. Three reasons to choose us: 1. We make noodle fresh in house from premium flours using a top quality Japanese ramen machine. 2. We cook fresh bone broth in house, unlike many Ramen restaurants that produce broth from concentrations. 3. We offer premium quality food with good varieties in a very pleasant and relaxing environment. Come to visit our store in Plainsboro Plaze. We are next to Romeo’s Pizza Restaurant.

Had 5 pork gyozas that were good and a beef teriyaki which was normal, nothing spectacular.
Overall the gyozas were better than the beef teriyaki.
Maybe sometime I will try this spot again to try other of their dishes.
We (party of 2) arrived around 7:30pm on a Tuesday night. The restaurant was completely empty. There was only one takeout order on the counter. We were given the ability to sit wherever we wanted so we chose a booth. The menus were brought over with one separate menu for a list of special ramen & sushi rolls, presumably available for only a limited time.
We ordered the Black Queen and Red Volcano “signature” ramens, as well as a Sumi Roll to share. The waitress took our order manually but there were QR codes on the table to do the same. The same third-party service also provided a QR code on the check at the end that we could pay through.
The food came remarkably fast, around 7 minutes after ordering. The sushi was well-presented and tasted great. The cream-cheese and eel sauces mixed well with the shrimp tempura and provided for a very flavorful bite. The ramen was good as well. The noodles were hearty and had a great texture. The broth of the Black Queen was rich and savory, though not overly salty. The Red Volcano was the spicy version of the same broth. Both bowls came with half of a soy-sauce egg which was cooked well but slightly cold, sliced pieces of tender char-siu (roast pork), and scallions. The Black Queen also came with pickled ginger (similar to the ginger accompanying the sushi, but red) which cut into the richness of the broth and balanced everything out.
The vibe was definitely quiet, ideal for calmer outings. The waitress was friendly and asked us how everything tasted after we finished. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant for a solid spot to grab some quick but tasty Japanese cuisine.
Servers are attentive and polite, and I’ve only gone at non-rush times (late lunch, early dinner) but each time it was a pretty calm atmosphere with music playing quietly. You will hear kitchen noises since there’s a half wall separating the dining hall and kitchen but it is infrequent.
Our first time dining in (before we only had a take-out from Sumi Ramen). Very good experience.
The food, overall, was very good. The sushi rolls we tried for our appetizers were OK, but the specialty of the house – ramen – was great.
Polite and efficient service, no complaints whatsoever. You can order your food on your phone (by scanning a QR code displayed on your table) as well as pay for it (Google Pay or credit cards).
Pleasing interior. Quite budget-friendly prices.
Highly recommended. 5 stars indeed. We will definitely visit again.

Decent food, extensive menu, good selections featuring ramen, udon, soba, mazemen (brothless ramen), donburi (rice bowls), curry platters, stir fried rice dishes, basic sushi rolls, and interesting appetizers (among them we would mention Mini Taco Sashimi with spicy tuna, poke salmon or crab leg).
The prices are on the cheaper side, quite budget-friendly.
Our food quality and preparation was, as mentioned, decent.
The staff was polite and efficient. Our food was ready in about 15 minutes after placing the phone order.
Cozy interior inviting to some privacy. For those familiar with Plainsboro, the restaurant is located next door to Romeo’s Pizza.
Right now, you can order delivery via GrubHub, which delivers to as far locations as Hamilton.
The chicken kaarage was also disappointing. The chicken was flavorless and had clearly not been marinated. It also was not crispy and barely even fried. The kaarage came with the spicy mayo sauce leftover from making sushi, and the sauce was the only thing this tasted like.
The restaurant itself was fine, and clean. The floors were a little sticky, but i think the main problem is understaffing. There was one poor kid running around bussing ~8 tables both in doors and out, while also taking care of all the takeout orders and phone calls. He was very nice and tried to take care of us the best he could, but the fact is he was doing the job of 2-3 people and so service was slow.
Ambiance: Booths all along the sides of the restaurant and a long table down the middle. It is nicely decorated and very cozy.
Our order: Chicken karaage, veggie ramen, pork shogoyaki, chicken lime ramen, and japanese sausage fried rice. The chicken karaage didn’t have much flavor if you didn’t dip it into the sauce. It came with 2 types of dipping sauce (white – lime flavored, reddish/orage – slightly spicy). My veggie ramen was just ok. The best part about it was the noodles, which are hand made in house. They were bouncy and chewy and had great texture. It came with woodear mushrooms, enoki mushrooms, bamboo, and fried tofu. I felt like it was still missing something. The pork shogoyaki was a bit bland for me. It came with pickled veggies, pork, rice, and a bit of noodles. I was surpised to find noodles in it was I was just expecting rice. The japanese sausage fried rice was pretty good. The sausages tasted very similar to just a regular hot dog and it added just the right amount of saltiness to the dish.
Overall, just an average ramen place. Nothing really stood out that would make us return again. We didn’t try the other menu options like their sushi, korean bimbimbap, etc. But it’s great that they have so many options all in one place.
I’ve been here a few more times after the initial visit. Their ramen is great. I’ve had the tomato beef and their house special and both are a large portion with great toppings.
