I think I found my new fav thai place. First of all food was delicious. Whenever I ordered spicy level 4/5 at other thai restaurants theyre always too mild for me and tastes more like 1-2/5. This place I felt like was exactly 4/5, perfect spiciness I wanted that wasnt just achieved simply by sprinkling more pepper flakes on top like some places do, but the actual taste was spicy. Good spicy. Also, it was my first time here so I ordered the wrong dish over the phone by accident (clearly my fault but I do wish they had pics on the online menu) so after the food came out I showed the cook?owner? A picture of what I thought I was getting, and asked him the name of the dish so I can get it next time. But he kindly offered to switch it up to that dish instead and immediately started cooking! I thought that was really nice of him. You may have lost a dish but you’ve earned a loyal customer plus friends that I will be bringing here. Also reasonable pricing and portion which are also the biggest determining factors of whether I will be going back or not: taste, service, price, and portion. IMO they were excellent in all four and I will definitely be going back.

We LOVE this place! The food is seriously amazing and the portions are generous. Good variety on the menu and all the flavors are delicious. The owners are wonderful people and all the staff there are friendly and very attentive. I’ve been to lots of Thai restaurants, having worked in Seattle for many years, and I can tell you that Sumalee’s is top notch and absolutely holds its own to any of the other top Thai restaurants in this entire area!

Delicious and fresh. I’ve always ordered take out. The best fried rice I’ve ever had. They use big fresh veggies and not to much oil. The chicken satay is good but I’ve had better. The garlic chicken is immaculate. I go here once a month still my go to whenever I want take out.

This place is gross. The table was sticky. I mentioned it to the server; she cleaned up another table and had us move, the second table was sticky and the seats were gross. The waitress had some food stains on her clothes which was gross but I get that food will spill, isn’t that the purpose of having washable aprons? She wasn’t wearing an apron. I went to the bathroom and the two garbage cans next to the bathroom were full and no lid so that looked gross. I go to the bathroom and there’s like paper towel bits all over the floor. Overall just kinda a gross place. I ordered a Thai iced coffee and there were coffee ground bits floating on top. I mentioned it and she got me another one but same black bits floating. The food was decent. I got prik king chicken and it taste pretty good. My wife got shrimp basil fried rice and it wasn’t my favorite. They also don’t have Thai chili peppers in the fish sauce which is a bummer. The server was friendly. This place has potential but needs to do better. Anyways that’s my first impression and I don’t plan on going back.

Stopped in for lunch, gluten free chicken pad Thai, and satay chicken. Spicy #2. Meal was pleasant. Noodles were a little thicker than what I have gotten else where but good.

Great service, chef and waitress were really attentive and chill ensuring a pleasant dining experience. I had the duck curry nice tender fatty it’s was delicious. And the curry sauce itself, was just about as perfect as you can get. Every season paired nicely working together creating a delicious creamy mouth orgasm.

Another awesome experience 🙂 met kid there after she got off work and food was awesome even if it had onions first time around, was like no time to fix and no problem and might have been order confusion talking with our very cool server (you rock Zoey!) for so long about menu. Didn’t mean to stay till close catching up with kiddo but space dust cheaper then the bar on top of good food. Thanks guys!

I’ve been coming here for years. Me and my wife come here pretty often. Food is amazing. And the vibes are always proper. We live in Tacoma, but if we’re ever anywhere near Bonney Lake, we come here. Anyone in the Bonney Lake/Sumner/Puyallup area, I highly recommend you come here!
