Sum Pig came highly recommended and I was excited to check it out.
The 12-inch cheesesteak was absolutely loaded with meat and onions. The cooper sharp cheese was minimal however, so the sandwich relied on the meat and onions to provide most of the flavor, which isn’t my favorite scenario but luckily they were high quality. I poured cheese wiz from my fries on and it took everything up a notch.
The (ranch) seasoned fries were also good but the cheese wiz stole the show here. Very good.
Overall, Sum Pig is the real deal though more cooper sharp cheese on the steak in the first place would have elevated this. Next time I’m going cheese wiz on the cheesesteak and that should do the trick.
My family tried a bit of everything; all of the sandwiches were good but the cheese steak was great. I highly recommend putting the black pepper cooper sharp cheese on it; delicious.
Low key had the best loaded nachos I’ve ever had. Great ingredients and great chips.
The storefront is next to a local train station so it’s very convenient. There was a nice area with benches to sit. Luckily it wasn’t cold out that day.
The cheese steak was absolutely spot on phenomenal. They use a whole pound of meat per cheese steak. I definitely could not finish the whole thing so I took half home and ate it later for dinner.
What surprised me was how well the bread held up holding that much meat.
Also I noticed on the menu there were a lot of custom options on how you might like your cheese steak which is good because not everyone likes traditional. Some want options no matter how weird it might be.
Overall these guys at SumPig are 5 stars and are a force to be reckoned with for the best cheesesteak in Pennsylvania
I am 100% coming back with the family too as the menu is diverse and kid friendly.
It was nice sitting outside at the tables as well!
