We had the mixed starter platter for two – a nice, familiar start with a few interesting twists. The herbed prawns were a great change from the usual battered ones, and the chicken-and-prawn toast was a clever variation on a classic.
We shared a beef Pad Kee Mao which was excellent – full of flavour and perfectly cooked. It was my sister’s first time trying it and she loved it. I had my usual favourite, duck red curry, which was outstanding: the duck was cooked well and the flavours were balanced, rich, and spicy in just the right way. My sister’s green chicken curry was equally good – it really captured the taste of Thailand and stood out compared with many other Thai restaurants.
The décor is warm and homely. We arrived early, so it was quiet and lacked a bit of atmosphere, but the quality of the food more than made up for it. We’ll definitely be coming back.

Not authentic at all especially when papaya salad is not made with raw papaya!
The taste was drab and not the combination of sweet, sour and spicy delights you expect.
I am really not sure how the Bucks Free Press voted this as the best Thai in the country.
The staff however were lovely. Do not waste your time if it’s authentic Thai cuisine that you love.
Additional note: I did actually ask the lady serving us that would like the food made with authentic heat levels and taste. Despite this, the food was mediocre at best. Not doubting that the chef if Thai but their culinary skills are somewhat lacking.

We’ve just had a takeaway from here and the food was nice. One thing that matters to us is that the meat isn’t Halal, which is quite hard to find these days. The staff were also very friendly.

Was brought here by my parents after they saw that this place had won some award locally. Full disclosure, I love Thai food. It’s out go-to cuisine whenever we go out anywhere, so we’ve eaten at many Thai restaurants over the years. Sukhotthai is not very high on our list. The food was very sub-standard. Chilli squid was rubbery and Thai Green Curry tasted like something completely different from the Thai Green Currys I’ve had in the past (and not in a good way). Massamman curry was just okay. Staff seemed like they struggled to smile. Overall, I’m not sure what award they won or even how they won it but, there are many many many better Thai restaurants out there.

Very good food, but the timings on Google should be updated. Its happened 3 times, it shows open on Google, after reaching there,it’s closed. On sunday afternoon also it says open but after giving them a call and confirming before going this time, I was told it’s open only for deliveries.

I’ve been a customer of Sukhothai for some time, but Ion asking the waiter I sadly discovered they serve halal meat, which is really unbalanced! As someone deeply concerned about animal welfare, I find the halal slaughtering practices troubling. I believe customers have a right to know if their food comes from animals that are tortured. Shame such a shame.

Great Thai food, so tasty and generous portions. The 2 crispy tofu dishes are a must for vegetarians. Excellent value too. Do give them a try if you enjoy Thai food.
