Sukhothai is a cozy spot and a hidden gem in Albany, New York that reminds us of our time in Bangkok, Thailand. The ambiance is warm and authentic, and the food consistently delivers bold, traditional Thai flavors – giving us the closest experience of Bangkok in North America. Service is friendly and efficient, making the experience smooth from start to finish. It can be a bit of a drive for any one living outside NY state, but it is truly one we’re always happy to make, because dining here is truly worth it.

We recently visited as a family and really enjoyed the food. We tried the Panang curry, fried rice, Tom Kha soup, Thai iced tea, and crispy fried tofu as an appetizer. Everything was flavorful and well prepared. The portions were good, the service was friendly and overall it was a pleasant experience. We would be happy to come back again.

Exceptional service. The waitress even helped prop my device so I could watch a soccer match during dinner 🙂 Drunken noodles with chicken came quickly. Vegetables retained their color and crunch and the chicken was well trimmed. I’ll come back again.

Delicious authentic Thai food, at a great price with excellent customer service! Very clean and cozy place. The Tom Kha soup was Bursting in flavor, probably best I’ve ever had! Amazing!! I’ll be returning!

A hut with full of happiness. Loved the cleanliness, friendliness of the servers, deliciousness of the items and the out of the world Thai tea. Crispy fried Tofu as an appetizer was not up to the mark. It lacked seasoning. But… Seafood soup was too good. And the portion was too big for a person. Small amount eaters can share an order. I loved every bit of it except I missed shrimp in the soup. It had crab, mussel, and squid(not sure what was that). My husband ate pad Thai with chicken and again it was big in portion and full of flavors. He couldn’t finish it so we took the rest away at home. Thai is only three something dollar. Mind blowing taste. No one should miss. We spend in total $40 ($5tip included)

I haven’t eaten here that many times BUT the three times I have eaten here ABSOLUTELY REMARKABLE!!! I cant give you full reviews on the whole menu but can give you my communication on the Pad Thai (veggie) which is one of the best I’ve had and I’ve been to 48 states and definitely tried Pad Thai in most of those states. The service is so kind and perfect. Small place for BIG flavorful food.

We hadn’t planned to have lunch at Sukhothai but seeing the 4.5-star rating, we thought we’d give it a try. We were initially the only patrons until three other tables arrived shortly after we were seated.
Our server was extremely helpful and courteous as he answered our questions and offered suggestions. We chose homemade dumplings as our appetizer and Laht Nah and Pad Thai as our entrees.
The dumplings did seem to be ‘homemade’ rather than a staple product from a food purveyor. They were flavorful and the dumpling was cooked well. We enjoyed both sauces which came with them.
The Pad Thai had a different flavor or spice than we’re used to which was interesting and good – a dish we would order again. Our server stated the Laht Nah was ‘soupy’ and it was which made it somewhat difficult to eat in the shallow serving bowl. It might be better if they served it in a soup bowl.
The restaurant looked to be clean and was comfortable enough. We enjoyed our visit and look forward to going again sometime soon.

Delicious Thai in a cute space –
I loved this place. It was in a downstairs building location in a small but quaint setting. Everything was clean, vibrant, and fun and just enough room for the 4 of us at a table with some bags.
When we went it was quiet but eventually got busy and for good reason – the food was delicious and made quickly.
Spice levels are a little on the lower end for me but I could see how someone might find it a little much, so make sure you know what you’re ordering!
Everything else was made fresh and beautifully plated. Overall a great location.
