My family and I were visiting from out of town a received a good tip from a friend who lives locally. They did not lie! You can’t miss on the portions and quality of food here! You might have to wait a little longer than most places to get your food, but it is worth the wait. Just finishing it up on the third day.

The new prices are SHOCKING! The food for the most part is consistently great tasting. Mine was a little too salty the last time, but still really good. I usually get Just Fish which had been $12.35, the new price is $19.99, with tax $20.99!!! A $7.64 price increase for whiting is a DIABOLICAL increase for a carryout spot! Unfortunately Sugars is officially out of carryout, wait outside in the weather range for me. I wish the owners and staff a propserous safe 2026.

First time here, won’t be the last. Huge portions for a reasonable price. The catfish was excellent, with a spicy breading. Very friendly service as well. The seating is all outdoors, but there are umbrellas at every table, so it’s not a problem unless it’s pouring.

We were not sure what to expect…but, boy, we were so glad to have found this place. Went on a beautiful sunny afternoon after a morning full of drizzle. We were moving to Richmond and had spent all morning unloading a uhaul. We had to wait a line of folks all wanting the same thing, seafood. We placed our order and found sunny table where we waited, and waited, anticipated, and waited. It was a bit of a wait, so be ready for that, but so so worth it. Fish was great, okra was great, shrimp was great! It was all pretty good. The okra…man loved the flavor of the breading. This is not a quick order, order, on your way kinda place. You go hear to struggle for what to order off the menu, for the anticipation of waiting for your food, for sitting and enjoying the company of the friends that you are sharing this adventure with. Will definitely be going back.

This place NORMALLY have the best fried seafood around. However today I stopped in order 2 soft shell carb platters and MY CRABS was RAW!!! I’ve tried calling several times nobody has answered and the voicemail is full. Very disappointed and it wasn’t cheap at all.

BUY AT YOU OWN RISK!!!!!
I arrived at 1:20 (store opens at 12) to avoid any crowds/excessive wait time which I only had to wait about 15 minutes! Only to get home 40 mins away and I did not get what I paid for!! I spent nearly $30 on a Crab Cake Sandwich on A BUN only to open my food and it’s on UNtoasted white bread!!! Opened my family meal and the buttered “toast” was in fact buttered white bread that was not toasted at all. 14 pieces of fish piled on UNtoasted white bread. The potato salad has changed from years ago (when it was better tasting) it was awful today. The taste, smell and texture was the worst potato salad I’ve ever had. For $90 I was definitely expecting better quality! I would NEVER spend my hard earned money at this establishment again after calling the number and going straight to a full voicemail box. They will get you, reel you in with how good their food USED to be years ago have you expecting to get what you were getting back then at a lower price only to price gouge you now and just throw the food together and not have any way of contacting anyone besides driving back and I’m sure they would want the food back even after driving 40 mins back (I wasn’t going to find out for myself)

First time here. We loved everything! We ordered the specials and a pound of snow crab legs. Salmon cake burger & wings both with fries. Prices were reasonable and service was fast. Staff taking our order was polite. We will definitely visit again.
