The waitress who was serving me was unacceptable, and the level of service was completely unprofessional. She was serving and at the same time socializing with a group of five men, constantly talking and flirting with them instead of focusing on her duties.
I asked her to bring me a small bottle of beer, which she took a long time to deliver. When she finally brought it, I asked for another one, and she told me that I had to finish the first beer before she could bring the second. I told her that this was the first time I had ever heard such a rule. She replied that these were “the rules.”
However, moments later, she brought a large pitcher of beer to the table she was socializing with — even though that table already had another pitcher that was almost full. I would like to know whether the rules did not apply to them.
After I finished the first beer, I ordered the second one. The beer remained on the counter for about ten minutes while she continued talking with the same group. Eventually, I spoke to another waitress, who informed her, and only then was the beer brought to me.
This behavior was unacceptable. I did not feel inclined to leave a tip.
The only real highlight of the night was the service. The staff were friendly, attentive, and quick to check in, which was a definite plus in an otherwise disappointing visit.
The food, however, left a lot to be desired. We ordered a grilled chicken caesar salad, a side of onion rings, and the buffalo chicken sliders which came with fries. The total came to $40, which felt excessive for what we received.
The salad, priced at $14, was underwhelming- barely filling the plate, with very little chicken, no parmesan cheese, and hardly any dressing. The onion rings were fine, but at $7 for a small side, it felt overpriced. The sliders, which were the main draw for us, were missing the pickles listed on the menu, and the fries were completely unseasoned.
Overall, the food quality and value just weren’t there. It’s easy to understand why the chain might be struggling- it feels like the focus is no longer on the food, which is disappointing when that’s the main reason people come in. Great service can’t make up for poor quality and overpriced meals.
I was referring, of course, to the scantily clad young ladies who serve the food. The servers at this Hooters are very pretty. They’re also efficient and polite.
The venue is clean, neat, nicely decorated and wheelchair accessible.
I ordered fish and chips with malt vinegar. You have to ask for the malt vinegar. The fish was flaky and delicious, as was the crust around the fish. The chips, in this case, curly fries, were ok, but a bit disappointing. Normally, curly fries are seasoned. These weren’t.
I also had unsweetened iced tea. It was excellent.
The service was great. Our waitress Amanda, was super nice and attentive. This location is very clean and they also sell merch here.
