This quirky little restaurant is a must stop for lunch if you’re traveling the High Road to Taos from Santa Fe. It has limited hours so check them against your itinerary before you set off. The food was great. My grilled cheese sandwich had 2 types of cheese topped with mushrooms, onions, and green chilies, served on in-house made focaccia bread. My wife had an in-house made black bean burger. Both came with side salads. For dessert they served us a huge portion of homemade carrot cake. It was delicious and lasted us three meals.

A wonderful place for creative and delicious food. The ambiance is comfortable and artistic. The tables have drawing paper and crayons so kids of all ages are welcome! The mushroom burger was excellent, but the Hungarian Mushroom soup stole the show. Green chili Alfredo was an am. We ordered the dark chocolate black walnut bundt cake – and it was incredible. Highly recommend this place, especially if you are staying at Sipapu.

Home cooked food with NM flavors and great home baked desserts. Homely and friendly vibe. It’s a great place to stop on the High Road Taos.

Definitely worth the stop, the kitchen puts an interesting spin on standard cafe fare. Salads are delicious, burgers are uniquely handmade, grilled cheese so delicious and well worth returning for.
The only slip up was my cappucino. The barista made my drink incorrectly with two shots of espresso and only water, which is an americano. I politely tried to correct her that it is made with milk and foam, she seemed slightly irritated and sheepishly offered to remake it. I didn’t want to make a fuss, and instead enjoyed a delicious americano. I can’t knock the quality of the drink, just wish the staff had more thorough training. The ingredients were really top notch across the board. Thanks!

On a Tuesday afternoon mid august we had a grilled cheese very good with corn potato chowder Southwest style tasty and the crème de la crème is their carrot cake. All this in a low key, historic building / community center in a quiet little corner of New Mexico. Very friendly staff. Note: sometimes they get a rush and there’s a long wait so be patient. No alcohol is served. But They do take credit cards.

KAREN was a wonderful server!! Attentive and lovely to speak with. The food? Amazing. The grilled cheese with green chili was excellent, and the Thai noodle special was equally delicious. Peanuty and citrusy, with great flavor and portion size.

Fresh and delicious food. Then menu is always changing based on what’s in their garden and what’s available locally. The patio is dog friendly and has nice views. Service is friendly, but slow and the kitchen is small so be prepared to be patient while you wait for your food if you’re there during busy hours. Worth the wait.

Some of the best food we had during our stay in New Mexico. Very surprising find on our ride up to Taos. Definitely get the grilled cheese and/or the BLT. The carrot cake was also top-notch.

This is a MUST STOP for any road trip. This place is phenomenal! At first approach you’re surrounded by the most amazing aroma! And then you are greeted with excellent service. The Lemonades are top notch! Espresso is delicious and perfectly made. Very cozy, welcoming atmosphere. We had burgers and BLTs as well as several different cakes. The hamburgers are fresh Angus and worth every cent. Such amazing flavor. Perfectly crisp bacon and lettuce in the BLT. The salad had a house made Ranch dressing and it carried a uniqueness and freshness that I have never experienced outside of the mountains here!

A treasure to find such good food between Santa Fe and Taos. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich, it was good & comforting. The salad was very fresh with yummy dressing. My companion liked her burger a lot. They have fresh made desserts on the counter. The building is interesting as well as its attached to a small theatre. The staff are friendly & laid back. The whole vibe is down to earth. I really recommend this place. Definitely get the carrot cake, it’s outstanding.
