There was an hour and a half wait time, and when we told them we got the text to be seated, one of the workers was doing so much other stuff all by himself he forgot about us and our name but eventually sat us down. The place is small so they seat everyone very close to one another… not the most optimal seating arrangement. Our server was very nice but for the cost of the food, I would have expected the food to taste better. I get it, it’s an experience but 3 out of 5. Bathrooms where dirty, a metal bolt on the floor… who knows there that came from.

Food is always fresh! If you never been here, I highly recommend you try their Ultimate Sashimi experience and order any of the “Trust Me” combos. You will get plenty of food and will leave with a smile, you can thank me later by paying for my next meal. Enjoy friends!

I tried the NOZAWA TRUST ME ($39) and found the food to be really tasty, however, some of the fish tasted like it wasn’t unfrozen properly and not very fresh. The salmon sushi, toro hand roll, and Blue and Dungeness Crab Hand Roll were my favorites, though I did find some pieces of shell in the latter.

We really enjoy Sugarfish. We always order the Trust me, a kind of Omakase or testing menu. This time, we were in Calabasas and got the “Don’t think, just eat” x2

REALLY great sushi resturant. The rice is out of this world good with the sushi. Everything seemed very very fresh and delicious. The service was very good they timed delivery of your food well and delivered it as you finished each item you ordered. They do include a 16% service charge and don’t accept additional tips.

chefs kiss as usual but this time was special bc it was my love’s first time!! we loved reading about the fish used on the menu while we ate (-: he said the trust me was the right amount of food although i had to give him my dungeness crab hand roll bc of a new shellfish allergy so maybe get the trust me + one more hand roll a la carte. oh and we overheard so many people come in with all these dietary restrictions like being kosher and the staff were so accommodating!

They actually put sugar into their sushi. It may be small amounts but if you didn’t know it’s kind of a shock. The sushi tasted good but I couldn’t get used to the idea of sugar in my sushi

First time going to sugarfish. Not a HUGE fan of sushi, but my significant other loves it here so I thought I’d try it. And I’m a casual sushi diner.

The hype is real. The omakase is a great selection of fish, and for an amazing price point. We ate at the restaurant, but how cute are the to-go boxes!? Can’t wait to come back next time we’re in town.
