This place has decent baked goods. Only once before did they forget to send an item. Today it felt worse, 4 people we ordered Uber Eats to celebrate my wife’s birthday. We ordered 3 slices of cake as well as a Linzer Tart. Of course the slice they forgot was the birthday girls slice. So I called them directly expecting them to send the missing slice. I was told I’d have to go on Uber Eats and request a refund…great that is something I am aware of. However Uber Eats didn’t make the mistake, I didn’t make the mistake. You Sugarberry made the mistake. You Sugarberry didn’t put the slice of cake we ordered in the bag for the delivery. You Sugarberry ruined someone’s birthday tonight…no one else did that. Sugarberry alone ruined a birthday tonight. Once I was casually told, what do you want us to do about it! Dumbfounded, I said can’t you deliver it? “We don’t do delivery” I gave them minutes of time, to figure out something to say to make their reoccurring customer maybe not happy but at least not angry. Nothing! No offer of a store credit, not even an actually apology. So I along with a minimum of 5 different households will no longer be spending any money at Sugarberry! We’ve even ordered a head and had larger cakes made for bigger events etc….thats all done now. Im sure based on their callus reaction to disappointing a reoccurring customer on their birthday will be met with a similar if any callus reaction to this review. I at this point dont expect anything from them to correct this rude interaction I had. This review is being posted to let any other locals that patronize Sugarberry or thought of spending their hard earned money on this local business to reconsider. Remember if they make a mistake or do something wrong as business can do from time to time…remember unlike a respectable business Sugarberry will just casually, callusly not offer anything to reconcile…not even a thoughtful apology to alleviate the mistake they made. Imagine your job is to be friendly to paying customers and put a few slices of cake in a box and you can’t even figure out how to do that. Again for clarity, that was 3 slices of cake, 1 linzer cookie and 4 small macaroons. It wasn’t a giant confusing order that still wouldn’t warrant the mistake. Do better people. Have a little pride in the job you have. The world would be a better place if people took an ounce of pride in the job they have.

Please avoid this place if you want a good cake. We placed a custom cake order in person, reviewing it with one of the staff members. We had asked for chocolate cake with vanilla filling. The cake we got was all chocolate. We paid $20 extra for a printed image on top. The cake that was shown to us was plain, no picture. After waiting for them to add the picture, they placed it upside down and wrote happy birthday on the opposite side.

Very good bakery. Bake goods are amazing. The staff tries to move people as fast as they can. Not much sitting room but great for take out. Only negative is that it is not good if you are trying to watch your waist line. The Birthday cake slice was pretty good.

My daughters visited on 11/1/2025 and had a horrible experience. My youngest was having a ice coffee. Noticed a bug in her ice coffee. She was frantically upset as anyone who would. The staff was not at all caring or supportive. I’m sure Peter Kambitis would not be pleased with his staff at the way the situation was handled. My daughter is an elementary school teacher in the neighborhood and will be sharing the horrible experience with her fellow peers and parents. My other daughter is a High school student in the neighborhood and I’ll also advise her friends not to visit.

Stay away from this place. We had a wedding with no wedding cake ! They forgot we were picking it up, made it last minute and gave it to us warm. It collapsed the second the put it in the car. We asked if they could make this right and they said no ! They could make us another one the right way but we had to pick it up the next day which was not feasible . We called several times, out on hold for over an hour and suddenly the manager no longer spoke English could only speak to us in broken Spanish. She said the owner would get back to us but never did. No wedding cake!

This place is fantastic, has become my favorite bakery. The food is amazing and high quality! Staff is great! I had just ordered a couple of cakes for birthday and everyone loved them! Can’t wait to go back really amazing! Easy 5 stars from me!

Came here for a quick treat after a staff member from Mojo recommended it. I saw they have millefeuille, or as they call it at the bakery“sugarberry” and as a Greek person who has had this so many times growing up, I’ll say this one was subpar. There’s a lot of potential. It’s just missing the true-and-dedicated vanilla custard layer as right now it feels like there’s a little vanilla custard that was mixed with whipped heavy cream (standard practice for bakeries to increase the supply of a pastry cream so I get it). I was really hoping it would be comparable to the ones I’ve had in Greece since I was told the owner was Greek but this one missed the mark with me 🙁

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND – As trendy and good as this bakery may look the cakes that I got were awful!
I got a Oreo cheesecake slice and the signature Sugarberry cake slice. Both of these were recommended by the workers and tasted old and bland. They had no flavor and were extremely over priced. If these were the recommendations I can’t imagine how everything else would taste.
As far as customer service, despite the terrible cakes the service was good. Everyone was nice and we got our orders fast.
The one huge positive is definitely the atmosphere of SugarBerry. There is very good seating with high quality furniture with both interior and exterior seating options. The vibes of the place are really good and if you’re looking for a trendy spot to take some pics this could be it.
Overall, I would NOT RECOMMEND this bakery and advise you to take your money elsewhere. The cakes are awful and overpriced. There are much better options out there.
