Ate at this place for the first time while I was visiting Baltimore, and honestly, it was such a letdown. My partner and I took maybe three bites each before tossing the entire meal in the trash. That’s $33 completely wasted.
We ordered the jerk chicken and the Rasta pasta, expecting at least some flavor — especially since this spot has a 4.5 rating. But the Rasta pasta was shockingly bland. It tasted like plain buttered noodles with just a hint of spice thrown in, nothing close to the rich, creamy, well-seasoned dish it’s supposed to be. The jerk chicken wasn’t any better: overcooked, dry, and rubbery, which made it almost impossible to enjoy.
What really gets me is how misleading that 4.5 rating feels. There’s no way this is what people are raving about. At this point I can only assume most of those reviews came from friends and family, because this was genuinely some of the worst Rasta pasta I’ve ever had in my life — and I’ve had plenty.
Super disappointing experience all around. I wouldn’t recommend it, and I definitely won’t be back.

Food was tasty just had entirely Too many Onions. Very flavorful. Very affordable! Would give 5 stars without the onions & better location (neighbor restaurant smelled bad)

The chicken pot pie was phenomenal. They sent a side of jerk sauce, not something i would have considered but AMAZING! The blackened chicken wrap was really good as well. I’m back in NYC wishing this place was local

Came one time and was absolutely blown away by the food. Now every time I’m in town I have to stop by. Literally have a friend bring me up two platters of jerk chicken to Philly because it’s that good. Amazing customer service. Looking forward to going back!

Read about Sugarbee’s on the Nextdoor Neighbor app. Thought I’d give them a try. I started with their cheese steak and their tuna melt. Both sandwiches, outstanding. Used DoorDash for the delivery. Food was still hot when it arrived. I’ll be back.

Amazing! Customer service was fantastic! Food was AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS! My father and I had the shrimp and sausage gumbo and my daughter had a cheeseburger. She said it was the best burger she’s ever had. Gumbo to die for! Best rue/ flavor. Only thing that could beat it would be homemade.

My bf bought home this awesome Chicken pot pie for dinner and let me tell you, you won’t regret getting it! It’s comfort food at its finest and just in time for the fall/winter season coming. The crust was golden brown, buttery, flaky and airy, the chicken was chunky and it was alot of it, with subtle sweet carrot, and peas with a great tasting gravy. All of that paired together was excellent! And to top it off there was what I believed to be some kind of spicy curry sauce to go with it on the side, and it was a beautiful match lol! That pot pie with that sauce was magnificent! Give it a try! I can’t wait to the taste other items on the menu.

Stumbled across this place and it is good. The service is good, I would recommend calling ahead to place your order. I have had the chicken Alfredo pasta and the Rasta pasta with chicken. I ordered them both spicy and the first time I had the Rasta pasta it was spicy but the chicken Alfredo was not as spicy. You get a great portion for the price you pay and I will return.

I was recommended Sugarbee’s – specifically for their chicken pot pie and gumbo – and they did not disappoint. I tried the chicken pot pie and it was probably the best I’ve had in the city. This was my first time in Charles Plaza’s food court, and I can already say I’m gonna become a regular. Try the chicken pot pie!

Their chicken pot pies are the truth. I ordered the “spicy” variety- more like a curry version with a pinch of spiciness. Delicious and hefty, every part of this pie was perfection. Flaky, buttery crust, huge pieces of chicken breast, lots of peas (love these in pot pies so it worked for me), and the occasional chunks of carrot, potato, and onion.
A rich balance of quality ingredients. Try one for yourself. $9 gets you this and a medium soda.
