Family owned and operated retro ice cream parlor nestled between Lockland, Ohio’s railroad tracks and the famous Reading Bridal District. Sugar Shack by the Tracks serves up homemade hand-dipped ice cream and Italian Ice, Soft Serve, Dole Whip Soft Serve, Knuckle sandwiches, milkshakes, Train-wreck nachos, Shack Swirlies, floats, Pawsicle cups for our four-legged friends and more! Place your order at our walk-up window and take a step back in time while sitting on our retro bar stools and listening to the tunes of the 50’s. Look up and check out the hubcap-covered ceiling. Drive-thru open to those with a sweet tooth on the go! Cash & credit card accepted. Seasonal open May-September.

My favorite ice cream place in cincy. It’s so nostalgic and they always have something new on their menu/themed weeks etc. tons of toppings to choose from and they offer soft serve and hard dipped as well. Definitely worth checking out

Sugar Shack is the cutest spot just off the highway — it feels like a throwback diner with the checkered details, bright turquoise booths, and fun murals. I loved sitting outside on their patio next to the tracks — it’s such a chill and playful setup.
I ordered a swirled milkshake (pictured!) and it was absolutely delicious — super creamy and topped with cookie crumbles. You can tell everything is made with care. The staff was kind and the atmosphere is so unique. Definitely worth the stop whether you’re local or just passing through. I’ll be back for sure!

Sugar Shack by the Tracks totally exceeded my expectations. The retro diner vibe is adorable — from the turquoise seating to the vintage murals, it’s got that perfect nostalgic charm. I loved relaxing on the outdoor patio while trains rolled by. It’s such a cool setting, especially on a sunny afternoon.

This is an extremely adorable ice cream shop.The decor is fun and colorful. I went with a group of friends and we all raved about our choices. The staff was very friendly, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable. We spoke to the owner, and she couldn’t have been nicer. I ordered one scoop of butter pecan ice cream with caramel sauce. It was a generous portion of creamy, sweet, rich, and flavorful deliciousness. I will definitely go back when I am in the area. If I lived nearby, I would have to switch my entire wardrobe to mumus.

This place is on point. No matter what you get the flavor is there and they are super creative. You gotta stop by and see these guys. Just an FYI picture is a knuckle sandwich and the cookies are fresh baked.
I love this pumpkin roll sundae so much, everything it on point but there’s never enough of the pumpkin roll. To be fair their portion size is beyond fair but that’s my favorite part.

Went for our first time today and wow! This cookie sandwich was bigger than my hand! And so tasty. My husband tried the cherry cordial in their homemade waffle cone and loved it. Definitely will be back!

Came here opening night and the ice cream was good so we’ll be back
Definitely could tell it was their first day because orders were coming out randomly, way out of order and the back seemed disorganized. I know they have a lot of teen workers which is good but the few adults we saw seemed equally disorganized.
Can’t wait to try more stuff.
