We love trying smaller breakfast places local to us, and this was our first time. We walked in and we’re greated by a sweet lady who told us to sit wherever Place was packed! Only 3 or so tables empty. As it was a cold and windy day, we chose a table further from the door. Took the waitress a minute to get to us. We ordered our coffee and had to ask 3 separate times for milk for the coffee. Then she asked us to switch tables so she could is our table to make a larger one for another party. Mind you, they had been there, so why wasn’t the table already moved? Why allow us to sit there, order our drinks, and then ask us to move? To a table closer to the door. Some every time someone opened it, a major cold rush of wind would hit us. Another waitress brought our food out. A sweet gentleman refilled our coffee . She checked on us once. The sweet lady at the door was the sweetest on the upside, the food was FANTASTIC Another waitress, another time!

Hidden little gem. Do not be deceived by the exterior. Food is fresh and made pretty quickly, service was great and ambiance was laid back and you can tell it was packed with regulars who were super friendly and inviting. Enjoyed my spontaneous visit.

Stopped in on a whim, food was fantastic, great portions and taste. Server was most attentive and you felt like family. Will definitely return by choice. Outward appearance may not attract you but the food is worth it!

Steak was cooked perfectly medium rare, eggs were perfectly cooked. I could actually eat my steak without ketchup for once! Mixing runny eggs with grits and a lil salt is always amazing.

⭐☆☆☆☆ Very Disappointing Experience
My husband and I attempted to have dinner at Sugar Shack in Suffer Hills a couple of nights ago, arriving at 6:05 PM. The restaurant was posted as being open until 7:00 PM, yet we were told by an older woman at the register that we could not eat there because everyone else had already finished eating and they had decided to close early and go home.
What made the situation even more frustrating was that the cook said he was willing to make our food since the grill was still on and hot. Despite that, the woman at the register insisted we could only get the food to go and would not allow us to dine in.
Given the mixed messages and the unwelcoming attitude, we decided to leave instead. This was extremely disappointing, especially when we arrived during posted business hours and were ready to eat.
Closing early without updating hours and turning away dine-in customers while technically still open is unacceptable. Unfortunately, based on this experience, we will not be returning.

1/8 Wednesday, 3 of us had breakfast . 1st time for us. Food was hot , simplistic but good. Young waitress attentive . A basic local eatery , no frills …serving breakfast and lunch .
One of us in our group did not care for the coffee so the waitress took it off the bill.
We were sitting directly under this handmade wooden sign (see photo) that welcomes all military and says “Thank you for your service”
My husband served 25 years in the army/special forces/ Ranger. . I asked the waitress , “do you honor military discount with ID? “ She responded, NO! I said, “honestly that’s very strange because we are sitting directly under this sign that welcomes military & thanks them for their service” when I mentioned it to her and told her to look up, it honestly held no meaning for her and she did not get it. She said we have a lot of military that comes in here that’s why we have the sign. So I asked again, “you don’t offer any form of small discount to honor military? “ She said , “absolutely no.
Just a suggestion, kindly remove the sign honoring military, or keep the sign and honor military with a small 10% discount . It appears you are using the military to sugar coat your sugar shack because you are doing nothing to honor these active or retired men and women
