Whoa!! New Italian single family owned restaurant just opened on Clements ferry Road in Wando. Unbelievably good food and reasonably priced. I think the pasta is homemade and they have a very reasonably priced imported wine menu. The bread service comes with garlic cloves in the olive oil. I had the stuffed rigatoni with chicken and my spouse had a northern Italian salmon dish. I’d suggest getting here before it gets too popular because they just opened three weeks ago.

My husband and I visited Saluté a weeknight around 5:45pm. I come from a large Italian family in NJ and always looking for great Italian restaurants here in Charleston. This was quickly added as one of our favorites! The staff was very attentive during dining and friendly as the hostess found us a seat. One of the owners seemed to be running expo and checking on tables which is always great to see. The food was home-style Italian. We stumbled upon happy hour which had excellent specials on food as well as drinks. I got the penne alla vodka and it was so saucy which I love! It was honestly perfect! We got a Caesar salad, roasted garlic bread topped with mozzarella cheese and calamari for appetizers. We also loved the wine on the menu. We are going back again for dinner just a few days later!

Giving 5 stars since they are new and working through their new operation. The food so far has been great! Good Italian in low country? Yes! They have it! We ate at the bar the other Saturday night. They now have their liquor license and gearing up the bar’s capabilities and offerings. We met the bartender, Angela. We were not rushed at all. There were a few issues with our order, but Angela and the kitchen sorted it out. We ended the night very pleased and we plan on returning soon. Please keep up the quality food and customer centric service; the entire neighborhood is rooting for you! Ciao

From the moment you walk in, the staff at Salute makes you feel welcome. Everyone is friendly, attentive, and easy to be around. The atmosphere is cozy and comfortable, the kind of place you immediately settle into and relax.
The bartenders, Robin and Adam, clearly care about what they do and want to make sure everyone has a good experience. All of the drinks on the menu are handcrafted. The homemade limoncello is a standout (people rave about it, I’ve been told it’s better than what some have had in Italy), and the espresso martinis are consistently excellent.
The food has always been wonderful in my experience. The meatballs are rich and comforting, and everything I have had has been flavorful and well prepared.
Salute feels like more than just a restaurant. It is a place where you are taken care of, where the food and drinks are thoughtfully done, and where you want to come back again. I will definitely be returning and recommending it to everyone I know!

I’ve been to Salute several times and must rave about our most recent experience. It was our friends’ birthday and we had a group of ten. Crystal was our waitress and was so friendly and efficient all night. Joe, the owner, came out to wish our friend a happy birthday and brought us all Limoncello. The food was superb as always and the staff is always so pleasant. You can tell great service by the amount of people that are ALWAYS in there anytime of the day I go.If you are looking for authentic Italian food with a perfect ambience, please do yourself a favor and go to Salute!
