If all you get is French Toast I think you will be extremely happy here. As others say, no need to add syrup. It’s really good. The potatoes, everyone raved about, not impressive. The seasoning on them was good. But not unique or impressive. The wings were not seasoned well and worst of all the fish was chewy and fishy! Come on now. Throw your old fish out. Don’t fry it up and sell it. We paid about $67 including tip and fees. Mainly to try out all of the favorite items. Glad to have supported. But very disappointed.

Breakfast and Brunch fans, here is a new spot to try @sugar_mamas_llc in Baltimore! The French Toast Breakfast Sandwich was next-level delicious – sweet, savory, and cooked to perfection. The staff was so friendly and made the whole experience feel extra special.
Heads up – everything is made fresh to order and you have to order online, but it’s totally worth it. Plenty of parking, but it can get busy (a sign it’s THAT good). Definitely my new go-to breakfast spot!

My daughter frequently treats me to breakfast when she is in town. One of her preferred establishments is Sugar Mama’s. Although I have had numerous platters and enjoyed them all, the Salmon Balls, cheese eggs, and grits were my least favorite. The eggs and grits were prepared exactly to my liking. However, the Salmon Balls were excessively salty, making them inedible for me. Overall customer service is outstanding. Prices are reasonable, and wait time is worth the wait

TikTok sent me to Sugar Mama’s and it was worth it. I ordered the French toast platter with home fries, sausage and scrambled eggs. EVERYTHING was delicious! The restaurant doesn’t offer inside dining but who cares. The staff was polite and greeted me as soon as I entered. All ordering is done online though.

Talk about a PLEASANT experience!!! I was under the impression that this was a dine-in restaurant but was flabbergasted that this is a carryout. After reading so many positive reviews, it was a MUST that I patronize this establishment. I ordered my food online after arriving and saw numerous patrons of all ethnicities standing outside waiting to be serviced. The wait time for the food was 55 minutes and I was tempted to leave but the food was WORTH EVERY MINUTE OF THE WAIT. I received a notification from the Toast app advising my food was ready. While waiting to be serviced, I overheard what I assumed was the kitchen manager (a young lady) telling all staff to make sure they greet each patron that entered the building. She politely requested from the staff that all patrons were acknowledged and advised that someone would be with them momentarily. This made the experience most amiable garnering a frequent customer and also prompting this review. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

I ordered through door dash, the catfish and grits and a bacon egg and cheese French toast sandwich. Both were so good, I don’t necessarily care for the sugar crystals on the French toast but other than that, my food was great.

I always come here and order French toast platters, steak tips, and salmon bowls and it’s really good when it’s consistent so be sure to stick with that for your order. However last week I got salmon patty platter with grits and eggs. I (added cheese and Added onions and peppers). When I opened my container I barely had cheese in my eggs or peppers and onions which is an up charge to add. Grits are genuinely flavorless so because I did not add anything to them it was expected to be bland. The worst part is that the salmon croquettes were EXTREMELY salty and I could not eat it. Threw the food away. While waiting for my food I asked the young lady at the counter if I could switch the drink I bought for the blue lemonade as it’s the same price and she said I would have to go online and order . She completely misunderstood what I was saying unless she was saying I would have to buy another one so I left it alone because I only wanted to swap my drink out. The fruit punch I had was way too sugary. I usually like the blue lemonade and although that’s sweet it tastes better than their fruit punch in my opinion. I did not like my food nor experience this time which is disappointing because this was not CONSISTENT and food was trash this time for me.

So my wife and I drove an 1 hour 45 minutes to try Sugar Mama’s based on the outstanding reference by a coworker. Now, let’s the elephant in the room out the way first. First, it is tight in there at least on the Sunday we went. Good food will attract people, so just know that. Second, I understand perfection takes time and so with that being said if you order on a weekend please order 45 minutes to an hour early. And third, I’m not going to fault them for the area they are in because that not their fault, so they still get 5 stars from me. Now! Oh my God! This is the first time EVER I’ve eaten french toast without syrup. I drown it normally but, not here. Syrup ruins it so you gotta eat it straight and you will love it. The potatoes have something that should be illegal for how addictively good they are. You know what just do yourself a favor and get the French toast platter and thank me later. So after I woke from my food coma I dug into the fried salmon, shrimp and grits and people to be honest I do not like grits. And that’s what I still say to grits….. except Sugar Mama’s! Everything was on point and I’m going to try not to drive up there every weekend but, I make no promises!
