I was still going to eat it. Doesn’t make sense to not eat a sandwich cause it’s messy. Took one bite and it tasted gross. The meat smelled and tasted spoiled. It’s the same sandwich I’ve ordered elsewhere for the past 10+ years. It tasted spoiled.
I NEVER bother with taking food back because it’s not worth the effort. Definitely took it back this time because it was a $15 sandwich that I couldn’t even eat plus the attitude already left a bad taste in my mouth.
The younger girl handled the refund and was nice enough. The other lady started speaking in Spanish (which I also speak) stating there was nothing wrong with the meat and a rude tone to her.
Definitely don’t recommend this place at all.
Stay away for this subway location!!
My experience however was: I showed up and ordered a five meat footlong on flatbread. I was informed by the girl making my sandwich which was a young employee who was very nice and friendly that they did not have flatbread. I said no worries is there any way we can put it in a wrap cuz I didn’t want a lot of bread. She said absolutely. As she was making the sandwich I noticed I was getting half the portion of meat and all the fixings which wasn’t a big deal. I have ordered this sandwich many times so I’m very familiar with how much comes on it.
My assumption is that she would have charged me for a regular sandwich which was about $7 cheaper which would be reasonable for the sandwich that she made. Understandably I originally asked for a large and had she built me a large inside a wrap this wouldn’t have been a problem. I see I was running up for a full footlong sandwich which was about $18. Looking at this 6-in wrap on the counter, I explained to them that the rap was only built as a regular sandwich and I’m very familiar with the sandwiches.
She began talking in another language to the young girl not acknowledging my question or response. I told her I would absolutely be fine paying for a regular Sandwich price based on what was created and she continued speaking in another language to the young gal.
In the meantime while berating the younger employee having the younger employee make a new sandwich in a wrap for me to charge me the full price I continue to interject saying I will pay for the one that was made but it was made as a regular sandwich and that is what I’ll pay for.
Finally the older lady says she will give me a $2 discount bringing my sandwich down to $16. She never saw the employee make the sandwich but she said look how full it is. Which for the record I asked for a little bit of everything on the vegetables. So yes, the sandwich was full of vegetables not meat. She also proceeded to tell me that I couldn’t adjust how a sandwich was made even though it was their fault that they ran out of flatbread.
I have never ever been to a Subway where they are so cheap, rude (talking in another language in front of me) and trying to rip you off at every turn. I finally walked out and said keep your sandwich because there was no way I was paying $16 for a 6-inch wrap full of lettuce with half the amount of meat of a large footlong sandwich.
I will never come back to this location and it is too bad that young employee has to deal with whoever this older lady is which I assume is a manager.
Subway, you need to do much much better because you have lost a long time customer.
I paid for a foot long to be turned into a wrap yet they only gave me 2 slices of cheese and the protein equivalent for a 6″ I’m not sure how you charge people for something they’re not receiving?
I would advise to avoid this location.
Finished making it and then another worker says they can’t accept coupon at the time and had to pay almost $18 for a sub is nuts. And behold it didn’t even taste fresh, veggies looked old.
The first time I went in, the teenager was cleaning up 45 min before closing and they were bothered by my order. The 2nd time I ordered was online. Everything went through the website and when I went to pick up, the restaurant was closed. Lights off, doors closed and locked. Money was taken out of my account, I didn’t get a refund or anything.
If you go here during actual working hours, maybe it’s okay. I refuse to give this location my business considering what I’ve experienced. I will happily drive over the busy highway to the subway franchise on highway 99. They actually taste better and have a few more ingredients that the others don’t offer.
Such a shame because I was hopeful for more reliable food options on my side of Fife.
