The employee named Joy and a male employee (dark complexion, curly hair pulled back into a low ponytail) were working at the time.
From the moment we walked in, the service felt dismissive. A Hispanic DoorDash driver in front of us was being ignored when asking simple questions. When I asked for artisan bread, Joy turned to her coworker and said, “Did you hear what she just said?” He responded, “What?” and she repeated, “She said artisan bread,” in a mocking tone. He then replied, “It can just say white bread.”
Shortly after, the male employee said, “Take your gloves off cause then this people be complaining,” which was completely inappropriate.
Joy then repeatedly questioned simple requests (including asking twice what type of cheese I wanted while laughing), and service was unnecessarily slow despite the store not being busy. After my sandwich came out of the toaster, the male employee removed it, stared at me, walked away, and began joking around with another coworker instead of finishing the order. We were left waiting approximately 10 additional minutes without explanation.
The pattern of mockery, dismissive behavior toward Hispanic customers, and inappropriate comments made the interaction feel discriminatory and unwelcoming. We have visited before and had respectful service from other employees, but this experience was unacceptable.
Amazing women answered the phone next. She works for the gas station & subway at this location. Wish i had gotten her name.
Crystals immature management should be addressed. Especially when inclining the safety of food orders.
