Ordered two foot long standard sandwiches online and picked up in store. Husband came home and we sat down to eat, my two year old and I got a steak and cheese. Husband got a cold cut combo.
I picked up the foot long toasted steak and cheese sandwich which was wrapped and just out of the bag .Immed immediately, I knew that something was wrong with my sandwich as it just seemed like it was bread upon opening the sandwich. The first thing I said when I opened it was they forgot to put steak on it. It was just spinach, some Roma tomatoes, and a bunch of white sauce, the meat looks like canned cat food and was not up to temperature. Looks like it might have been toasted, but was soggy. I could not allow us to eat it. I took it up to Subway. I just asked if I could have a regular sandwich instead immediately with hesitation and dirty looks and the shorter Indian man came out loud abrasive and almost yelling at me about the sandwich before he even saw it, he looked at the sandwich and said is that steak I said if you’re asking me then I’m not sure. I said it doesn’t look like anything I’ve ever seen from before. The two other people just sat there silently with their mouth open. Not sure what to do while the shorter older man was already very defensive, talking very quickly about the meat on the other end of the counter, he says look this is the steak and I said I’m sorry, but I don’t think that you’re preparing it correctly. That’s not anything I’ve ever seen before. He kept talking arguing escalated himself into kind of a situation that got awkward I was backing out of the door and I said you can just keep the sand. I don’t want it. I can’t eat that. I said it’s just disgusting. Would you eat that sandwich not one of them answer me the name say that and I said even without the meat on it, I said look at the rest of it. I said that’s not OK to eat. He was arguing and bickering while the taller skinny Indian guy said OK I’ll make you a sandwich saying it’s okay it’s okay. He knew that the other man had escalated the entire situation at that point. It was really uncalled for and I was just immediately attacked by them and met with negativity. They acted like one sandwich with spinach on it was going to set them back. I had it open on the counter and asked them if they would eat it. Still no one would say yes. I said that’s fine you can keep my sandwich and my money and I left.
I have never driven back to a restaurant once and I’m 41 to return a slightly questionable food order or even a wrong order. I’m not that kind of customer. I did not walk in expecting to be met with apologies and what not. See pictures and tell me if you would eat that.
Would you let your children eat that?
If this is what Smithville is allowing these people to get away with, they need to quit complaining about any of the other restaurants around. This is a meat product that has been improperly heated and reheated and has most likely violated time and temperature regulations for the last two weeks. Subway as a company would be embarrassed.

I requested Curbside pickup. After I notified them I was there, no one ever brought my order outside to me. So I was then forced to go inside the building to inquire as to why my order was not delivered out to the curbside pickup that they offered and had accepted. When he finally did appear from the back room, I asked where my order was. He looked for it and once located, he handed me a Subway bag. But my potato chips are soda were missing. He then just pointed towards where I could get them. The subs were both incredibly subpar, as I was charged $3 for extra meat, but the meat was barely in the sub. The extra cheese I ordered simply wasn’t there. Or the extra vinaigrette either! Now, with curbside pickup option, I fully expected for my COMPLETE ORDER to be delivered out to my vehicle by staff. That is how curbside pickup works. ??? Instead, a disagreement incurred with this gentleman’s with a very strong accent that I honestly could only understand a word here and there, stating that he had done nothing wrong. I showed him the receipt where it CLEARLY SHOWED that my order was in fact a CURBSIDE PICKUP. He nodded looking at the receipt. But, I then was rudely dismissed by him shooing me away, as he was already turning his full attention towards a customer who was just opening the front door to enter the building. I found the whole experience completely unacceptable and stressful. I will NEVER do business from the Smithville MO Subway again! Customer service was ghastly

UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT/OWNERSHIP….I used to love Subway, and the Smithville Subway had gone downhill shortly after we moved here in 14, so we stopped going; less toppings, too much mayo, vinegar, & oil, soggy bread, poor customer service. We got some coupons in the mail the other day. It had been a LONG time, so I decided to give it a whirl. Found they were under new ownership/management! The bread was fantastic and the sandwich was perfect! I always order Mayo, oil & vinegar. The sandwich was not soggy….even after leaving the other half set in the fridge and eating it for dinner. (1st half eaten for lunch.) It was delicious! Have gone back a couple times this week! I told them THEY ARE DOING GREAT and left them a good tip. I might just come to love our local Subway again!

Last Saturday, I went into the Smithville location to order a sandwich. The young girl helping me had long hair in a ponytail with the hair hanging over her shoulder. When I asked if she should have her hair up, she pushed it back & said sorry. I asked her if she should be wearing a hair net, but she didn’t seem to understand me and worked to keep her hair on her back. I should have walked out, but I was in a hurry and inspected my sandwich before eating it.

If I could give no stars I would! My family and I just order 6 inch subs tiniest subs I’d ever seen and to top it off my sandwich didn’t have but one piece of bacon and a few pieces of lettuce on it that’s it! I ordered the BLT with extra lettuce and extra bacon. No cheese was even put on my sandwich. I mean absolutely horrible! We won’t be back!

The people working in there absolutely hate customers coming in. I watched them have an attitude and be extremely rude to every customer in front of me. And then to me as I ordered. The guy at the register yelled at me because I didn’t say if it was for there or to go fast enough for him. And then screamed at me asking again. The owners are a joke. Don’t give them business, drive these owners out of town.

If I could give negative stars for the rude, lazy counter workers, I would. One guy said it would be 20 minutes- one lady in line ahead of me. I shook my head and turned to walk out. When 10 minutes went by, I walked back in and my sandwiches were done shortly after that. The guy behind the counter mouthed off to me about the wait time, and mumbled something derogatory as I was leaving. We will go to Jimmy Johns from now on.

Me and my mom went into Subway with issues with the pay part of the app, so I went into the store, and the guy told me my app isn’t his problem, and he can only do the deal online. So we got a gift card to use on the app, and the worker stood there and watched me and my mom struggle to scratch the pin and ended up peeling it too far down. We asked if we could get help, because it wasn’t doing right and he said we scratched too hard and it’s not his problem. So we asked how we could fix this issue and he kept saying it’s not his problem and was extremely rude. Highly do not recommend going here, extremely disappointed, and will never step foot in there again.

They ripped my elderly father off and charged him for the wrong sandwich when he used a coupon. They charged him for two turkey and ham sandwiches and then added bacon on each for a total of $4 instead of charging him for two club sandwiches. This is their sneaky little way of ripping people off and it is a shady and dishonest way of doing business.
I WOULD SUGGEST AVOIDING THIS SUBWAY AT ALL COSTS!
