Not sure what happened here the last few months but I used to get lunch here at least once a week until a couple of weeks ago. The last 2 times I ate there I got sick.
The workers are friendly and fast, but the toaster, coke machine, and AC are often broken. They end up closing early a lot due to staff coverage.
Sorry to say but if you don’t invest some money in this small town store pretty quickly, you won’t have a single customer left.

I’ve been going to this Subway in Henry, Illinois for 15 years. I don’t I’ve every had a really BAD sandwich here. And some of the offerings are very good for, you know, a sub shop.
My unfavorable impression today was due to the filthy state of the one bathroom (it’s always been too small; but it hasn’t always been nasty).
Clues that the staff is either overworked or disaffected? No paper hand towels in the roll-type dispenser. So even if your hands were clean when you entered, they will be filthy when you leave. The drinks station was relatively clean and well-ordered.
But the inability to wash one’s hands anywhere on the customer side means that the dirtiest hands that used and left the bathroom are the hands that will almost invariably have pawed through the cups, the utensils, the straws, etc. There was no way for you to sanitize your hands in this place, at least when I was there.
A clean, sanitary food service set up is so obviously required and FUNDAMENTAL that there should be no excuse for such slovenly conditions.
If within, say, 12 hours of stopping here, you find yourself rushing to the toilet (and I hope you’re home when that happens), then you’ll have seen several clues as to why that might have happened.
Of course, there are many reasons that you might experience some unwelcome gastric responses. It’s not always the restaurant. But it’s a safe bet.
Besides, after living through COVID, being masked, wiped down, sanitized at every turn, there is no excuse for these conditions to exist in a food service establishment.
Better luck next trip, Subway.

Absolutely the filthiest Subway I’ve ever been in. I wanted my sandwich toasted. They said that their toaster had been broken for a month and a half. I will NEVER step foot in that dump again!

Whoever owns this Subway needs to put some money into the place. Lots of things in disrepair. Poor kids working there have to deal with a leaking ice maker and a broken soap dispenser in the women’s bathroom. I have been there when the heat isn’t working and then the A/C was broken. Please quit putting a bandaid on things and fix them properly!

Not big on Subway but always friendly peeps working. Unlike other Subways, they manage to keep the meat looking fresh and edible. Didn’t burn my toasted Chicken Bacon Ranch like the other Subways..I’d eat here again..just fer the raspberry white chocolate chip cookies..lol

I love subway I always get a turkey salami with lots of veggies! My favorite is Olivia she is the sweetest most kind person I have ever met. She makes the BEST cookies. I love that girl Jordyn too! She always serves my food with a smile. There’s a younger girl that recently started working there she is so quick and always gets my order right. There’s a girl with reddish hair and she’s always so sweet to me and she lets me talk her ear off. The boss Dawn has to be doing something right, they are the best subway I have been to my entire life. Dawn is so quick and helpful during lunch rush! She has a lot of people’s orders memorized. They all are like a family to me, just tearing up thinking about it. That’s what makes an amazing group of workers:,)

We drove around Henry to a few different places even went in a few and decided no on them. We finally decided on Subway. I’m glad we did! The food was great but the service was even better! The 2 ladies working were super nice! We’re a picky bunch and they were GREAT!

Subway isn’t my favorite place to eat but I have to say it’s a good meal for a great price and it is certainly healthy. My favorite thing about Subway is the cookies.
I do like the breakfast sandwiches just wish they had a drive-thru.

Seems to be one place that I can count on the staff to always be pleasant, light hearted, & easy going, but not too easy goin.
Tbh, I feel like raises would be appropriate as a reward for consistently maintaining good service.
