Fast and friendly service awaits you at this brand new location. The store is decorated with the most recent Subway livery and has a very modern open layout. There is a nice selection of sandwiches, sandwich bread, cheese and toppings. I’d like that you can have your sandwich toasted if you prefer. The restaurant has a lot of available tables, high chairs and even wheelchair accessible tables.

My son and I had the most pleasant interaction today at the Galena subway. The two men working were super kind and friendly, the store was clean, and the sandwiches were really good! I’ll be honest I don’t usually choose Subway over other fast casual options, but I’ll definitely stop back at the one in Galena on my way through again. It’s nice to interact with friendly people who take pride in their work.

I was in this Galena Illinois sandwich shop near Walmart on 04/21/23. There three women (managers? Supervisors?) were VERY loudly all ganging up on a female employee in some sort of disciplinary meeting at one of the dining tables. It was already going from the time I walked in to when I left. They were talking over each other. It seemed that the issue had been that recently the employee had snapped at a coworker in front of a customer. But these ladies were ganging up on this girl in front of customers. Loudly. They were talking about therapy and medication etc. It was loud and in front of anybody trying to eat. Before I left I told them this public lambasting was super unprofessional and that there are lots of other jobs out there. The two blondish women on the right were the main ones. Did I say loudly enough times? There was nothing that others could not hear. Young employees- I’d go work somewhere else!

Not only did I doordash this dogfood for $40, they completely screwed up the entire order. Got a pizza sub no marinara, they still out marinara on it. Which it is what it is, but then the sandwich is completely cold and not warm at all? and this is two different sandwiches that are cold. Thanks for stealing my money!!

I wish I had asked the name of the guy working, because he was outstanding! He was one of 3 people working, and he greeted every customer that came through the door. Super friendly! He also continued to engage with multiple customers about their orders (in an over-and-above fashion) while making orders. I was picking up an online order, and after another employee had already checked in with me, he did also, and offered to give me a cup for water while I waited. He warned me politely to get a good grip on my bag as I took my order and wished me a good evening. I told him he was doing a really GOOD JOB!

Placed an order online, when I went to pick up the lady behind the counter said she had no record of my order. Pulled up the confirmation email she just kept saying she doesn’t have anything. Asked about my refund she said I had to contact customer service. I emailed customer service, and the owner of this location replied and basically said cell service is bad in Galena and it wasn’t their fault. I responded back that the money was taken out of my bank account and the order was PAID FOR. So they basically refused to give me an order that was paid for. Thieves. Avoid this location at all costs!
