Employee said “ Well 15 or so kids that’s a lot!” 2 minutes later I walk in to order and there’s 3 employees behind the line- no customers/ trash and crumbs on tables and I place an order. One employee looks mad and another sticks his finger in his ear twists it around and pulls his finger out , looks at the schmegma he just pulls out, rubs his hands together and continues to get some sandwich paper, He didn’t wash his hands and none of the employees are wearing hair restraints. I had to wipe my own table down with a wet napkin. Don’t these employees get taught about proper sanitation procedures? It’s pathetic. Lazy kids!
I ordered a 12in chicken teriyaki sub on tomato/spinach wrap bread. After asking what type of cheese I wanted, the brunette haired girl put two slices of cheese on the bread and I asked why there were not four slices, as I had asked for a 12in sub. I said it did not make sense since I asked for a 12in sub. She kind of stared at me and told me that is what they put in a wrap and then said if I wanted the extra two slices of cheese it would cost another dollar.
I could not believe two slices of cheese ( which are actually two sides of one slice of cheese) would cost me an extra dollar.
As she slid the beginnings of the sub over to the next person in line the absurdity of everything started to burn inside me and I said something to the little girl who was at the cashier’s station that it seemed like a rip-off to me.
I cannot remember what she said in response but it really ticked me off and I told her that’s a heck of a thing to say to someone who helps pay your paycheck. Then she said under her breath just loud enough for me to hear it “I get paid by my boss.”
I told her that was a very rude thing to say and I asked for the district supervisors phone number she said she didn’t have it and I asked for her managers phone number and she said it was on the receipt when I would get it.
The receipt phone number was a direct line to the store and the other phone number was a corporate number which turned out that the voice message gave me ANOTHER number that I could not write down because I did not have anything to write with …..
so I ended up going to the subway internet corporate page and posted a scathing review there along with this one here.
I will never come to this Subway ever again and I will tell everyone I know to avoid it.
When an employee basically tells a customer that they don’t care how they feel about their customer care of them then I do not want to do business with them ever again because they do not get the basics of customer service that anyone with common sense would know.
The only reason why I gave two stars was because of the cleanliness of the restaurant and the taste of the sub after it was made, otherwise there would be no stars or there would be negative Stars ….. just because of the attitude of the two young ladies.
Just to add insult to injury I spent 30 years in hospitality and attitudes like that destroy businesses, restaurants or hotels.
Additional: After a week NO-ONE has reached out to me….. Neither the franchisee nor Subway corporate….. I am very disappointed….
