My husband and I stopped at this subway on our way back to Nebraska, so we had a long drive ahead of us. We were just going to stop in to eat quick and get back on the road. We wanted to use a coupon and the employee told us we need to place a mobile order to use the coupon. We did this around 4:20. After placing the order, customers continued to come into the store and were given their food before our order was started. At least 5 customers were fully served before our order was started. It was now about 30 minutes after we had placed the order, and the employee still hadn’t started preparing it. Another customer entered and he was yet again fully served before us. We ended up waiting for 45 minutes after the order was placed just for the employee to start making our order. He was also rude when my husband told him how long we had been waiting. Set us an hour behind on our trip and was an extremely aggravating experience.

Never had issues at any subway. They are all pretty fast and good about getting your online orders done on time.
Went at a busy time and they had a new girl working in there so it was a little slow even getting my online order but it was still pretty fast and the staff are always friendly.

Renewal BeginningAgain
This is a NEW location now❣️ Inviting interior, tasty food fast, meal deals. We asked, and the sandwich worker said it is not owned by the same owners as the former Subway (the old Subway was in a gas station). The new store is brand new in a newly built mini-strip mall whose other occupant is currently a boutique. Construction is still in progress in the lot (and maybe interiorally but that’s not evident, except their drive thru isn’t quite open yet). Currently, you can order online and pick up indoors. Very clean place; friendly staff; fresh food. Brand new everything. It’s very enjoyable and, unlike any other restaurant in Madelia township, IT’S OPEN ON MONDAYS❣️ The parking lot is small/tight; at high usage times, please drive & park & back up with great care in this compact lot: It was there before Subway opened so…to no fault of theirs regarding the small lot probably. We’re local sometimes, and the new store is a refreshing spot that we’ve already enjoyed twice in their first week; local visiting however we don’t know the owners or the workers or any of that … so, it’s an honest review without the small town bias that can skew reporting accuracy about small town hospitality or lack thereof. To be clear, this new Subway has very hospitable workers. Again, we know none of them; so, it’s simply very refreshing to have this situation here. Thank you. Good job❣️Keep up the good work……….. [Edit: they since enlarged the parking lot quite a bit!!! So the earlier review about the lot is a moot point.]

Clean, quick, and the woman making our sandwich was the sweetest person. She made sure that our knives were clean because of my girlfriends allergies and she was all smiles the whole time.
10/10 would come back just to have her make my girlfriends sandwich again.

The last time I was here Bonnie was the manager. And my sandwich was buried and and hard. My chicken tastes like it was weeks old. This time that I got a sandwich here after a whole year of not coming here. My sandwich taste good and it was just the way I liked it. The employee was nice and friendly.

I eat at lots of subway and I must say the Madelia subway is the worst one I have eat at, because they don’t toast long enough,they don’t put enough meat on sub,the veggies are very little like on my 12 inch sub I had only 3 green peppers,5 black olives, little lettuce and to much oil and salt.

First off service was poor. Asked for American cheese and before we had the chance to correct they were putting cheddar cheese on sandwich. We had also asked for a chicken bacon ranch melt and they realized, when we were about to put veggies on, that they forgot the bacon on it. Sit down to eat and notice a hair baked into the bread. And finally looked to the wall where we were eating and saw an ant crawling around. Where there is one there is likely to be more. Will never come here again.

Food was good, but Robert was too hung up on what type of bread we wanted. He wouldn’t make the sandwiches for the other 3 in the group, without knowing the 4th person’s bread…It was kind of weird.
